Agenda as in like a different plan that isn’t solely focused on basketball, certainly not a bad thing
I would not have used "agenda" in that context myself because agenda has turned into a dirty word imo.I respect her for having chosen a military Academy for her education and for serving her country for at least 5 years....most unusual in today'cancel /woke culture.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that. I know plenty of people considered “woke” or for a culture of accountability that have chosen to join or continue their career in the military as a tribute to our country.

We don’t have enough real conversation across the aisle and I think that’s a huge issue but I can completely understand why it seems from your pov these things may not be happening.

Have no idea what you are referring to as a culture of accountability ? Woke and cancel culture is a culture of accountability .....? My that is in rarified air as far as I am concerned.

Anyone besides me been keeping track of Ms. Pissott's senior hs season? tbh. it was terrible. both the team and JP had a really bad finish. Sad :(

Not worried,,,watched her play AAU ball and when she has talent around her, she knows how to play it. I have seen several of her games via ballertv. SHe can hit a 3 from anywhere. SHe does have a ways to go to toughen up to SEC caliber play, but she will be a fantastic shooter and will put immediate pressure on Darby.

Not worried in the least about her or Jazzy
I've kept track of both and we got some gamers coming in to finish what Coach K is working towards.

Far as I am concerned we are one "big" away from a fully loaded roster,,,notwithstanding RJ

Anything at its worst can be judged by that. A culture of accountability is what cancel culture truly is and should be. I believe things are overhyped and most things are resolved by conversation.

Are there a group of people in any group that calls for “cancellation” because they’re offended? Yes. That’s the worst of the bunch. That is an extreme.

Accountability for actions and what people say is something else. If I speak up because I’m offended about something or don’t agree and share my opinion that’s not me cancelling it’s me saying I dispute what was said or this person has a history of this so I’m no longer supporting. I reserve that right as done anyone else. That shouldn’t be considered a cancelling of someone and lots of times that’s what it’s considered. If you’re on a platform and you’re deplatformed because you decide not to listen to the concerns and criticisms of others, it’s still accountability because you are indeed accountable for your actions and your words.

Pretty tired of folks latching on to “woke” and “cancel” as code. Talk about an agenda!

Playing HS ball, Justine has to play more inside than she does in AAU...I saw two of her games via NFHS-streams. Justine is 6'4" and by virtue of that plays more inside in HS games. On her AAU team she was a pure shooter, rarely scored in the paint...this tough HS season will only make her more versatile in having to learn post moves for school ball

Not worried

Pissott's HS career ended Mon night as Red Bank Catholic fell to Paul VI, 46-27. Her final career numbers:

I like Kellie a lot. But her recruiting classes are not anywhere close to the big programs yet. She is winning with Holly's recruits which is what you want to. But the caliber of her classes is not a level so far to maintain the progress in the games ..
south caroline had 14 years one champship so give kelly time.

Not sure what the "problem" is re: Justine's senior stats. I'm no expert at stats analysis but couldn't help but note that she took considerably more free throws in her senior season than both freshman or sophomore years, despite playing ten less games than either of those years. She made 85% of her 62 FT attempts over 17 games vs. taking only 45 and 38 attempts over 27-game seasons her first two years (junior year only played seven games, so numbers hard to compare).

The vastly-increased FT attempts indicate that she was taking the ball inside more, playing in the paint, drawing more defensive attention and double teams, etc. Her three-point and two-point FG percentages were down slightly but still good (35% and 41% respectively), and her PPG average went up due to the increase in FT attempts.

At least, that's what the stats indicate to me.

Her assists, blocks, rebounds, and steals all either increased or remained pretty consistent, and she only saw a slight increase in turnovers...again, likely due to having to play out of position more.

Those look like very good numbers to me.

she did what I tell all of my leaders to do...

"either be the absolute best at one thing,,,if you don't want to do that concentrate on filling every dot on that stat-line"...

What you described is not cancel culture as the term has been used since 2020 riots .

The term has most definitely been used at this point for the extremes but that is indeed what it has and was always intended to be and for the most part is what I see actually happening or attempting to happen versus what people are feeling like is happening. It’s only when people don’t have the conversations needed that indeed they are “blasted” or “cancelled” which literally isn’t a thing and can’t happen imo; you’re only cancelled once you’re dead… because what more can you do?

I won’t get into the conversation of “2020 riots” because it’s obvious from that we’re going to disagree on that wholeheartedly and this is teetering on our posts being moved anyway and I personally think I’d prefer a dialogue verbally about it rather than in written word to actually understand and get viewpoints across rather than us go back and forth writing and it come across in ways it may not be meant just due to things being lost in translation at times.

But this is great conversation 🖤

Dialogue is good .Only wish more could be had in a civil way.

So you are woke and cancel wrapped in one bun. That is a nice combination to chew on .
I guess. You would have a hard time even defining those categories so…
Here is what I know. I am every bit the patriot that you are in all my woke cancelness. I think it is great that JPs sister is going to one of the military academies. What an honor for her and I celebrate and appreciate her commitment to the service of our country!
So yes, chew on that!

I very much appreciate that you recognize me as a patriot who served 28 years in the Army in the service of my country so wokeness can exist .

And yet you won’t extend the same recognition as a patriot to me because my politics don’t align with yours. Can you say cancel?
Better be done here. We are out of bounds. I won’t respond again.

I have no idea about your politics nor as you refer yourself to as a patriot .If you are a patriot then good on ya and good luck .As for responding again that is up to you and has little to do with the issues at hand in this world today.
