So she is considering places more distant than Knoxville is from her roots...

from just a quick Google search,it seems like all the big names are after her, hopefully CHW and company can get her on board with the Lady Vols and she would look excellent in some Tennessee Orange and White :)

I'm sure she will get minutes quickly at all of the schools listed, but UT may be the perfect situation for a good post like her. She would really thrive with the athletes that we could put around her.

Talking to a Lady Techster fan in Louisiana who knows the Brown family (both parents were basketball stars at La.Tech). He spoke with the mother a few times, who said (I'm guessing in response to the possibility of playing for Tyler Summitt & Mickie DeMoss--a proven developer of post players) that they are looking for media coverage, wnba, etc.

The SEC Network will elevate each of her SEC teams to a higher level of game-by-game, nationwide media coverage. But his strong impression is that Baylor is favored.

So... QUESTION: which of those 10 teams has the best post-player coach... by WNBA standards?

This is also what I've heard. Honestly, at this point I'd be surprised if she didn't end up there.

No coach is more LaTech than Kim Mulkey, or more successful. Two championships there as a player, 15 more years coaching alongside Leon Barmore... heck--she either played with or helped coach Kalani's mom!

Yeah, some times legacy has a forwarding address.

I think I read where the SEC Network is going to be worth an additional $20 million per school. The exposure will be great and I hope the way the SEC draws football players will spill over into other sports. A ton of women's basketball game will be broadcast.

Comcast has it. Read it will be $1.30 or $1.40/ month additional. Of course they always have all kinds of ties/conditions/whatevers. But could you do that? Good luck.

I was reading about it and they listed the number of women's basketball games and softball games they would broadcast. I can't remember the number but it was substantial. I am thinking maybe 30 of each?

I negotiated my price down with Directv and still have the option of switching if they don't pick up the SEC Network.

that sounds good,if Direct TV fools around to much i will switch to Dish, even though i would hate it,but I'm sure they will get something worked out

According to a message on U-verse there will be 60 women's basketball games and 50 softball games.

Jim

I wonder if all of those will be live or if some are replays? Also, will they be in addition to what has been broadcast in the past or are those just being moved to the new network?

I guess we will find out soon enough. It would be a shame if there are not more games broadcast after all of this angst.

I heard on The Doug Matthew's radio show yesterday that it will take a while for Direct to agree to carry the SEC Network. They were not sure if they will be online by the in the next 2-3 weeks.

Dish Tv has it at no extra cost. You can get the medium package and also get the Pac-10 network and about 200 stations all together.

If you live in an area of a SEC school, you should be able to get it for free, from what I was told. I'm hoping that's true. I get nickel-and-dime'd enough by Comcast.

Originally I read it would be $1.30/month, and then, after the announcement that it was a deal, I saw $1.40/month. If outside of the 12 SEC states it would be $0.25/ month. Don't know if any of that is correct.
I agree about Comcast, hate them, that's what you get with a monopoly. We watched dish in a couple of places and it was constantly going out, can't watch a ball game that way, also we use it for internet access. Most of the time Comcast is up, just hate the packages, increases, customer 'service', etc. It's expensive, and I don't want their dumb movies etc., but to get the sports package.....as I said, I HATE COMCAST.
