Kansas OG/OT Transfer Ar’maj Reed-Adams

Ellarbe is actually our best recruiter.

He's done well in 2024 although we missed on some our early targets. But it was the whiffs in the previous two classes that have us in the position we are currently in.

I think CGE is a really good position coach, but he has struggled on the whole as a recruiter.

That's ****ing scary.

Imagine thinking donating to the vol club helps with recruiting....lmao..it doesn't....just created to bleed more money out of people.
Just wondering how much our NFL veterans are contributing to the NIL organizations. Really, they have been eating million dollar paychecks and can support the cause.

Also, who is monitoring where this money is going? Most public and private organizations have some level of accountability on funds. What is the process here?

I’d guess the strategy has been to use it more for retaining guys we need than recruiting. Teams are contacting players all the time trying to get them to transfer.

And this is not me telling people they should donate. Just talking strategy.

Hard to imagine ppl actually liked this post, just tells you that some Tenn fans don’t care about the success of the football team when it comes to retaining players yearly

Caring about retaining players and financial hostage is two different things. If these kids do not realize that they have an opportunity to display their talents to earn million dollar paychecks then I do not see the significance of a bunch of $10 handshakes.

You understand the likelihood of making the NFL is very rare even as a D1 athlete right?

Maybe the NIL pattern is that athlete visits school #1 to set his market value for school #2 and school #2 is the athlete's preferred destination. If true, it's not good that we are visit #1. This might also be why the visit/s are so short. Athlete visits to set market value knowing they are not coming to that school, sticks around for just time needed to get a value then checks out.

And I refer to them as athletes because they are not students, no way to get a quality education hoping through the portal, especially those who have moved several times. It's all about the money.
I think the publication of the Nico deal is the exact reason for this scenario. I think several top prospects have used Tennessee to leverage their desired school’s payout. We may be making other programs pay more but we are not necessarily reaping the benefits.

I am one of the biggest sunshine pumpers, but this one is pretty disappointing and more than a little concerning. I am not clutching pearls. I believe Heupel and the staff planned for this contingency and are moving forward. It would be nice to get another solid tackle out of the portal like we did with Campbell last year. We still have some time, just not sure who else is out there who can help us.
A potential problem is that people will blame this on NIL, when NIL likely wasn’t the issue here - the issue was something… else.

If the “NIL doesn’t work” narrative gains traction, do people stop contributing to NIL?

If they do, then NIL actually does become a problem. In addition to… the “other” problem.

They need to land 1 of these OL. Not sure how, cause it doesn’t look or sound promising. But they need to figure it out.

You guys 💩ting on Eric make me freaking puke...unlike you, that guy actually DOES something to try and help us get better...indtead of doing like you worthless piles of runny 🤬 and just sitting around bitching at everyone who does.

🤬 all of you horrible human beings..you all 🤬ing suck.

I am sorry that you get treated like this Eric...it is 🤬ing sickening..I appreciate what you guys (especially you guys not on the payroll) try to do to help the team.

Damn you scumbags suck...and yeah I'm talking to every one of you that took shots at that guy..🖕🖕🖕🖕

I think we need to do more of the contacting players on other teams and convincing them to come here. Seems to be the new norm. If other teams are tampering, we need to be willing to do the same.
