Kansas vs Coastal Carolina (ESPN 2)

So, Kansas has to travel to Coastal to complete the home and home. Don’t recall a P5 traveling to a Sunbelt stadium.

Interesting players though. On Coastal we have Highly/Likely. And on Kansas we have Golightly.

It does happen from time to time.

Duke at Troy in 2014
Auburn at Arkansas State in 2016
Oklahoma State at South Alabama in 2017
Wake Forest at Appalachian State in 2017
Miami was scheduled to be at Arkansas State 2017 (canceled due to Hurricane Irma)

Miami played at App State the week after we beat App in 2016.

Myrtle Beach Marauders are laying wood to Kansas.

I wonder what the Vegas line is on how much longer Chadwell stays in the Redneck Riviera?

I thought the Florida panhandle / Emerald Coast beaches were the Redneck Riviera.

Emerald Coast - Wikipedia
The area and particularly the beaches along the Emerald Coast from Pensacola to Panama City are also referred to as the "Redneck Riviera", alluding to the strong Southern cultureof the hinterland. The Flora-Bama in Perdido Key at the Alabama border is a bar and music venue with a diverse Southern clientele.

"Redneck Riviera" is the title of a song by Tom T. Hall (from his 1996 album Songs from Sopchoppy) about this region and the nearby Forgotten Coast. The song's lyrics include:

Gulf Shores up through Apalachicola
They got beaches of the whitest sand
Nobody cares if gramma's got a tattoo
Or Bubba's got a hot wing in his hand

I can’t imagine leaving Horry County for Lincoln. Probably has a baller house on the intercoastal.

I have a sneaking feeling Chadwell will bolt after this season.

He has a large number of super seniors-6th year guys who got an extra year because of Covid.

I hate to say it, but if he ever plans on leaving-after this season would be the time. His stock will never be higher. Sad but true.

Whether or not it is to Lincoln, who knows? I do know Frost looks like a dead man walking unless he can manage to pull a miracle out of his butt the rest of the season.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him leave, but I would be for Lincoln. Who knows what P5 jobs might be open after this season? There are always some surprises. Do some of these new Big XII schools look more attractive now If they had an opening? I also thing that if there is any movement towards the 12 Team CFP that could have an impact.

Probably, and no offense to Heupel, but I really wish he had been our choice.

I don’t think he would’ve been a bad choice at all, but I’m liking Heupel so far. I think he’s a good leader for our program.

Time will tell. Here in Orlando nobody misses him and I was never impressed while he was at UCF. But a change of scenery could work out great for him we have better resources than UCF. I do wish he had gotten the other QBs more PT against BG in case Milton sucks today

If I remember correctly I think Louisville went to Western Kentucky a few years back but that was before they was in the ACC.

I’ve heard that about the people in Orlando. 28-8 isn’t bad to me, and I think the opt outs last season probably had an impact on his record and on the bad taste in their mouth. As you said, we will see.
