Have you ever been to a prep school basketball game? Or to a prep school? Or even name a prep school?

If he got paid i hope the NCAA has some ba**s and does not let him play. I know but it is Kentucky. I mean if they get Pearl for having a recruit at his house, there is no way he should be able to play for Ky. I am a Vols fan living in Ky and i hear about Ky basketball at work until i am sick of it. Has any one heard of what they are going to do with him. I know he can't practice with the team. I hope we beat Ky 3 times this year.

He got paychecks for professionally playing basketball. It amounted to six figures. It is completely different from prep schools players getting tuition, a dorm room, and a meal plan. If he is allowed to play, I would be astonished…… That being said, since it is UK the NCAA will find some reason to give him eligibility.

From watching the UK exhibition againd Pikeville the other night I made a few observations...

1) Knight has a completely different body than the player he reminds me of, but his game resembles Dee Brown from that ridic IL team a few years back IMO. He can shoot, has quicks, but doesn't look like an elite next-level PG IMO.

2) Liggins and Miller look to be more aggressive and are embracing their new role.

3) T Jones has the frame and athleticism to be dominant and be a matchup nightmare if he can figure out how to finish. Decent FT shooter, but he was much more raw than I expected him to be. I would be shocked if he wasn't a 3 year player from limited perspective admittedly.

4) The lack of a frontcourt is even worse than I thought. One big white stiff and a bunch of wings will not get it done on the glass unless you do nothing but throw up 3's ala UK's tourney exodus last season.

5) Coach Cal has his work cut out for him if Kanter is ineligible. UK will finish 3rd or 4th in the SEC East if Kanter is ineligible IMO

This post would be better if posted in the thread over in the NCAA forum, instead of wasted on this dumpster fire.

I don't think we have the official figures yet. The "six figures" statement was made by the Turkish GM on the team Kanter played for. Keep in mind that it is in the Turkish team's best interest to make Kanter ineligible in any way possible. If he does not play college ball, any NBA team that picks him up next year has to pay a fee to the Turkish team of around $2,000,000. Hell, I'd say I paid him $100,000 too!

TIFWIW, KSR reports that Kanter was spotted at press conference dressed in practice gear for the first time. Sources trying to confirm this and any ruling on eligibility.
