1) Congress has no testicular fortitude.
2) Congress has no business dragging Presidential advisors in for pure spectacle.

2nd point is irrelevant, the man was subpoenaed. If you or I did the same thing, we would be in a jail cell.

I agree with your first point

That's not exactly accurate....we aren't presidential advisers so the comparison doesn't stick to the original point. With that said, I'm not a fan of some of the "antics" that he and the admin have pulled in this regard. I would like to think that this isn't just me leaning a bit left...but I don't know....it just smells bad.

True, but Karl Rove isn't one anymore either.

Is he being called in for something unrelated to his tenure as presidential adviser? Don't get me wrong...I think that executive privilege can/has go/gone to far. But, the original point still holds...

Exec Priv = National Security

That is not an easy assertion to make, IMO. You are giving up a certain degree of judiciousness when you tag exec priv with the National Security label as the end-all-be-all description. I'm not ready to accept that.....

which is again, a crock

and I would like to know how it was an ignorant statement.

The reason it didn't make sense to me is that he is being called in about issues related to his tenure as presidential adviser, no? Thus, it would seem that if you are willing to accept these (IMO extreme) measures of executive privilege, then they would apply as long as they are interested in events pertaining to his tenure.
