…she hooks with those ‘bows too!KS is incredibly confident in her shot right now. She was shouting for the ball tonight.
She really has a habit of clearing out w her elbows though. She's going to catch the wrong ref and get in foul trouble like she was before. She's making really good post moves, but often leads with the bow.
Karo traditionally plays the 5 spot, the same position that Tamari plays. Tamari has proven herself to be a game-changer on the defensive end, the thing this Lady Vols Team needs most. I think Karo has earned minutes, but she will never be 6-6 and long. I think Tamari should start to set the tone on the defensive end. It changes the way teams game plan against us and forces them to shoot more perimeter shots which are lower percentage shots giving the Lady Vols an advantage and face it, we could use every advantage available for the rest of the season.Does Karo lose the starting job now that Key is getting more minutes? With how hot Karo has been i didn’t understand why her minutes were limited in the second half of Auburn game.
Easy. Her minutes diminished this game because Karo isn't a **** blocker. Most teams just dribble around her, because she doesn't have the speed to keep up. TK isn't fast but she is so tall and long that she alters the opposition shot, makes the opposition think twice, or she blocks them. If you notice during the game, especially the second half Auburn rarely drove to the basket or if they did they threw up a crazy shot or shot it quicker then they wanted to. Karo is very good offensively but we didn't need that yesterday. We needed defense. I love Karo btw. She will be used a lot during the season.Does Karo lose the starting job now that Key is getting more minutes? I think she should start at the 4 and TK at the 5. JH can sub for TK and SP can sub for KS. We need her 3 point shooting and she can pull the 4 away from the basket can help our Offensive rebounding.Does Karo lose the starting job now that Key is getting more minutes? I’m thinking that will eventually be the lineup also as TK continues to progress. In my eyes, Strip would be more effective at the 4 than Puck is currently, but I realize Sara has way more to give in spite of the recent slump. Rotating TK and JH at the 5 and also Strip/Sara at the 4 seems like an ideal situation. Strip prob excels if given time at the 4 and that would be a good thing.I think she should start at the 4 and TK at the 5. JH can sub for TK and SP can sub for KS. Good lord, you have spent so much time with us you can present a cogent case regarding our lineup!I’m thinking that will eventually be the lineup also as TK continues to progress. UT is in the right position health wise now to make a run through the conference games similar to last season, esp if TK is back. The two big things needed for this team to compete for the conference are whether Spears finds her groove and whether TK can get back close to full form. If those two things happen, UT might shock some people, and it wouldn’t blow my mind if they only lose 2-3 conference games. I’m more confident in a Spears resurgence than a complete comeback by TK, but I’m just hypothecizing.
Thx Lucy,Good lord, you have spent so much time with us you can present a cogent case regarding our lineup!
Can you do this for all the SEC teams?
If so you are a true BB junkie!!
I would say you do! Good on you!!Thx Lucy,
Not all of the SEC teams. I only watch the SC and UT teams faithfully from the SEC. I am a junkie though, have been watching WBB closely for 12-13 years. I watch a bunch of games from all the conferences, and I try not to miss any meaningful games between good teams. In the SEC games I tend to focus on the top half mostly, teams I think will make the tourney. I watch a bunch of B1G, ACC and PAC games and try to catch most of the Uconn games, but they are hard to get on TV often. I have watched more B12 games than usual this year for some reason, and I even enjoy watching some of the teams from smaller conferences play at times, like Princeton for instance. I have not missed more than a handful of UT games in those years, if it was televised or streamed I tuned in. I feel like I know the team pretty well for a fan.
Yeah, this site def needs a bracket prediction thread again when the seeds are announced. That is always part of the fun of each WBB season. I honestly hardly watch MBB anymore, I just enjoy WBB more. It seems like a purer game to me.I would say you do! Good on you!!
When the bracket is announced we should have a thread for predicted upsets or something! You would be great at that and it would be fun to read and see how it all turns out.
