All of the Taylor Swift stuff sounds the same, and its always influenced by some guy that dumped her in high school, jmo.

I would love to see her cover (try) the Katy Perry "I kissed a girl and I liked it".....

You realize that includes "Red Solo Cup", right?

Trust me, I'm aware. I have a sister who loves pop music. I realize country has really changed, but songs like "Teenage Dream" and "Firework" are on their own level of awful. So is anything by Ke$ha or however the hell she spells it.

So yeah, I'm fully aware. I'll take any country over that.

I'll take neither. Modern country and pop like the acts you mention are both shallow, vacuous mass-produced crap with little to no sign of actual musical or lyrical forethought. One just happens to have violins and American flags plastered all over it.

Chet, Merle, Hank, Loretta. THAT'S country music. The stuff on 105.whatever The Wolf is not country music.

Madonna's gonna be the halftime at the SB. Can't wait.

Can't really see it being worse than last year though. From Christina Aguilera's improvised National Anthem lyrics to Fergie's butchering of Sweet Child of Mine, that was just awful all around.

The last good half time show was Tom Petty's.

I thought the Who was decent, the problem with it was the setting rather than the band itself. The Who doesn't belong at the SB half time.

I love The Who, and I thought they were awesome other than the fact that Daltry can't sing anymore because he spent decades destroying his voice box.
