Kavanaugh Confirmation

Woman accusing Murphy staffer of rape says she 'received no justice'
The woman who accused a senior staffer in Gov. Phil Murphy's administration of sexually assaulting while he worked for Murphy's campaign last year is a state official who says she is now telling her story because she has "received no justice."

Katie Brennan, who later volunteered for the campaign and is now the chief of staff at the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency, detailed her allegations against Albert J. Alvarez publicly for the first time in a story published by the Wall Street Journal on Sunday afternoon.

"I have pursued every form of justice available," Brennan, 31, of Jersey City told The Journal. "But it has become clear that this system is not built for survivors."

Does anyone find this woman credible?

Did she take her claims to the police? Did they investigate, and if so, what were their findings. There's more to it than "she says it happened so it must have". Alleged crimes are investigated for a reason. A simple allegation should never be enough to convict someone of a crime and ruin their life.

It was the 2nd gunman on the grassy knoll. Get it.

Based on your belief about K and his accuser, what does that alone do for this womans accusations? In your mind, go through all the questions you had about Ford. Where is the evidence? Where are the witnesses? Why didn't she report it? And tell me what that sh!tshow about K did for this woman's credibility? Did Ford hurt other women who wish to come forward?

So people should have believed Kavanaugh guilty of a crime that cannot be proven simply to help women come forward? Do you want to be that scapegoat?

Did what Ford did hurt other women? Possibly. Although these 2 cases arent even remotely the same. Waiting a day or so compared to 35 years isnt in the same universe.

The big problem we have seen is that these cases are tricky. Because they seem to happen either when nobody else is around ir at parties where people are trashed or sonething like that. Another issue is when women accuse the wrong person. It can lead to devastating consequences for the accused. Even when they were found not guilty of the crime. Such as the case of Kavanaugh. His reputation is forever satined because of Fords erroneous accusations. Thats nor fair.

I mean, what happens if a woman reports being raped but no evidence or witnesses can back up her claim? That doesnt mean she wasnt raped. But what can the police do if there is no way to prove it? Thats a horrible situation because it has the potential of ruining the victims life.

The broad brush horses#!+ is getting old. It's not a one size fits all, but I'm not sure that matters. If K had been rejected or withdrawn did we #believewomen? Or did we #believeawoman?

Or better yet, if K is on the bench because nothing backed up Fords story and this guy goes to jail because the evidence proves him guilty in a court of law do we still not believe women? I'm gonna guess the politics over rides the first one but that wont ever be mentioned

It shouldn’t be left up to anyone’s opinion.... it should require an investigation and be determined based on what the evidence says happened.....I coach girls basketball and this is the reason I never ever allowed myself to be alone with any of them. People have to be smarter about these situations.

I think she did hurt women coming forward about past sexual abuse or at least this public spectacle did. I will agree that "proof" is hard to come by in these cases or accusations, and it almost always come down to he said/she said.

WITCHES PLAN TO GATHER IN BROOKLYN TO CURSE KAVANAUGH AND THE PATRIARCHY

Occultists in Brooklyn are inviting practitioners of witchcraft to place a hex on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and the patriarchy.

Catland, an establishment that describes itself as “Brooklyn’s premiere occult bookshop & spiritual community space,” recently issued an invitation on Facebook which read, “Please join us for a public hex on Brett Kavanaugh, upon all rapists and the patriarchy at large which emboldens, rewards and protects them.”

Witches Plan To Gather In Brooklyn To Curse Kavanaugh And The Patriarchy
wonder if they will admit when the hex doesn't work that Kavanaugh isn't a rapist. or will they just turn to the next? lol they are getting desperate.

Believing women that allege rape or sexual assault. This woman didn't wait 35 years and still seeking justice. I say it has quite a bit to do with someone sitting on the Supreme Court that is only there because you didn't believe his accuser.
what a backassward way of thinking: because there are rapists out there, and they all don't get caught and punished Kavanaugh is a rapist. that's fantastic.

What a twisted statement.
A trained criminal prosecutor stated that her testimony was unreliable and full of problems.

BKs testimony, as well as every witness Ford claimed was there, didn't offer an alternative account. They all said the night in question did NOT happen. That's a far cry from he said, she said. That would be one saying it was consensual versus non. Combine that with the money trail right back to Hillary's camp.

I have a feeling that questioning of Ford's friend would have resulted in very embarrassing testimony for Ford.

My wife, a victim of an actual rape, and who works with the DAs office, totally agrees with this.

Did your wife come forward and did the guy get convicted?

That's not what I said or even inferred.
"That is only there because you didn't believe his accuser"

its exactly what you said. we should take exception to Kavanaugh's case because another woman hasn't gotten justice.

and you imply as the author. I infer as the reader.

First Bolded is a true statement. If Ford was believed, K wouldn't be on the bench. It's that simple in a he said/ she said situation. And don't forget I said, anything short of K testifying drunk and grabbing boobs, he would be confirmed.

Second Bolded, well you inferred wrong.

Thanks for the correction BTW.

I will say if this case had been brought against Kavanaugh I would have been much more likely to agree he shouldn't have been confirmed. and there isn't even "that" much being brought forward here.

Ford was a crap case. it got treated as such. just like when Trump got elected women aren't going to be treated any worse than they have before. maybe a few more come forward and a few more bastards go to jail. but there won't be any massive switch because of someone new sitting on the bench.

Honestly, i hope it doesnt hurt women from coming forward about sexual assault. Past or present. Women should always come forward with that because of the severity of the crime. I wish there was a much better way than the he said/she said.
