You did and still only offering “opinion.”

YOU said they didn’t play anyone. However that’s simply not true. They played 10 power 5 schools beating 4 of them……..definitely above their own level. They have also played many ranked teams and beaten a team ranked inside the top 10.

Sure they haven’t played a full SEC schedule…..but they aren’t an SEC team. They have played a challenging schedule given their own level and length in FBS.

It’s fine to “have” an opinion; however it doesn’t make a good argument when you use to counter my post.

Yes their four straight losses to end the season AGAIN underFreeze was truly awe inspiring. They lost by 4tds to the likes of New Mexico St at home. Their schedule is weak and they still lose 4-5 games a season under Freeze. Again there is a reason even most Auburn fans didn’t want him as their coach. His SEC record isn’t even as good as Butch Jones’

But yet he's beaten Saban twice. Auburn can recruit better than Ole Miss and to think he will be trash I believe that's a wrong call. Remember the SEC West had Bama and LSU winning titles while he was at Ole Miss. Outside of Arkansas and Miss State that side of the SEC was way better than the East. Bitch Jones wouldn't have won 4 games if we were in the West. Just my opinion

All it took was massive cheating to get players and two fluke games and he STILL lost to Memphis by 3 TDs that season. He had a losing SEC record and never won anything that mattered. That’s not counting the massive cheating, faking test scores, molesting teen girls, cheating on his wife with nasty hookers and the other stuff

He will be fired within 3 years there

Again I never said anything about Freeze being great in this thread. I didn’t say anything Liberty did was amazing.

However how often do you think teams which are new to FBS go to a bowl 4 straight years and win 3 straight and the coach wins every time?

Teams like Liberty are WAY down on the totem……and playing WAY above it. Not saying they are amazing or better than say a middling SEC team…….but their better than they “should” be.

How does ANY of this say “Freeze is garbage?” Because said that’s what my post was about.

Someone literally commented on their bowl game and stating Freeze is garbage…….Freeze didn’t even coach. Freeze took a new FBS team to 4 straight bowls……that’s not “garbage.”

It’s not hard for a team even a new one, to go to 4 bowls. Hell James Madison will do it. UTSA, etc. especially when you play an even weaker independent schedule. There are something like 86 bowl spots. Liberty has more money than most G5 teams and still loses to the likes of UConn and NMSU by 4 TDs. They aren’t playing “above” anything.

Freeze didn’t coach the game. How does that relate to him being garbage?

Also to your response…..which was only they don’t play anyone. Can you provide us with anything to substantiate this?

I mean because I did show they have played 10 power 5 schools, beating 4 and they played and beat the 9th ranked team (ranked 9th at the end of season too not beginning)……that “seems” like someone…..at least once maybe……surely Arkansas is “someone.” Maybe not I guess…..but please feel free to back up your opinion.

actually here’s how easy it is. Here is a 4 year span from year 2 (all teams are non eligible year 1) of teams that transitioned to FBS.

Western KY had 1 year with 8 wins (not 4 and no 10 win) and no bowl wins

Texas State had 2 losing seasons, and inly 1 winning season at 7-5

Umass had a 2 win twice, a 3 win and a 4 win

UTSA (which you mentioned) had 3 losing seasons and a 7-5 season

South Bama never had a winning season

Georgia ST had 3 losing seasons and a 7-5 season with 1 bowl win

Georgia Southern 9-4, 5-7, 2-10, 10-3 with 2 bowl wins

Old Dominion had 1 winning season

Charlotte, 4-8, 1-11, 5-7, 7-6 with 1 bowl loss

Coastal Carolina, 5-7, 5-7, 11-1, 11-2 with 1 bowl win

App ST: 11-2, 10-3, 9-4, 11-2 with 4 bowl wins

Freeze absolutely coached the blowout losses at home to NMSU, UConn etc. when your biggest win in 4 seasons is a 6-6 Arkansas team by 2 it says all you need to know.
But again most auburn fans don’t like the hire and don’t share your opinion. Just like the facts say that Freeze besides being a serial sex offender and cheater, has a losing SEC record and continues to embarrass everywhere he goes.
We shall see when he is fired again in 3-4 years due to his record. Hope he leaves rape victims alone this time at least 😂

RickyVol says it’s easy for teams to become FBS and automatically be good. It’s easy for these teams to win 8 or more games each year and go bowling each year………except only 2 teams did it…..not to mention most of them have terrible seasons along the way.

RickyVol actually mentioned JMU will do it, which is also a prediction based on opinion and that UTSA could/did/would (who knows)……however they actually DIDN’T.

Theres actually a difference between ones “opinion” and actually finding out “truth” and facts.

You need to.be careful about disparaging remarks you are making on another person. I don't recall him being proven guilty of rape or being a serial sex offender. And what about his four years at Liberty was embarrassing? I live less than 2 hours from LU and can tell you they loved the man there. You're opinion can be you're opinion but be careful with the slander you spread because it can come back to bite you right in the ass.

Liberty became FBS in 2018. Freeze came in their 2nd year and got them to 8-5 including bowl win. Along his 4 year run at the newly FBS school Liberty never won fewer than 8 games, including 4 wins vs Power 5 teams, and his teams were in 3 bowls and won 3 bowls (4 now without him coaching).

Other than controversy what’s not to like (about what he accomplished at Liberty)?

He is a very good coach. I had a brother-in-law his son was recruited by him when he was a HC at Lambuth. My B-in law came by and said man I met an amazing coach. He was going on and on about him, saying I just don't have enough positive adjectives to explain this guy. I'd never heard of him, but he really put an indelible impression on him. Of course, after he went to Ole Miss, I remembered the conversation. Evidently, he is a good recruiter.
