Keep this away from Tennessee Volunteers fans.

This is exactly what we need, an easier way for people to get drunk. I can't wait to bring my son to Neyland and have to deal with even more drunks spewing profanity and acting like idiots.

It's only a matter of time before someone OD's on this stuff or it gets used in some nefarious way.

I don't drink at all, but I've been to Neyland over 60 times probably and I can't say I've ever seen drunkenness be that big of a deal and I've sat just about everywhere.

Take it for what it's worth but one news outlet said that the problem wasn't in the approval of the product so much as it was the approval of the labeling. The Palcohol company has been working with the TTB(Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau) and FDA for 4 years to get the product approved.

So, how would this go for the bag check?

"Ok, sir, I see no bottles, no flasks, your gut doesn't look like a bag of beer. All you have is a baggie of an unknown powdered substance...you are free to enter."

Yeah, that would work.

Article states "keep away from UT fans" in the article itself.

is that a joke added afterwards or was it actually in the article I just read?

I encounter it every time I go.

I do too. Sometimes its happy drunks that are somewhat entertaining themselves. Other times its obnoxious drunks that you hope pass out or get thrown out.

Speaking on the former, in 07 I had season tix and the guys that sat behind me were nice dudes but would get completely hammered. During the Vandy game we were down for most the game and rallied in the 4th. One of the drunk guys went into cheerleader mode amd started going up and down the stairs trying to get our section fired up. At one point he took a little tumble before returning to his seat. It was pretty funny to me but others seemed annoyed.

You'd be surprised, if you think you're ever annoyed by drunks at the game there is always someone more annoyed than you are that typically rats the drunks out to UT police.
