So, they're looking for snitches? I've got just the guys for them. One is unemployed right now and the other doesn't really go back to work until mid October.

If they were looking for tool bags who watch wrestling then I am afraid I would have to turn u in

Not caring what you all cry about in here and not caring about what goes on in the world are two completely separate things. Know the difference. Thanks.

Besides, you all have proven time and time again that you have no interest in what us Dems have to say in here. So enjoy beating yourselves up. I just come in here when I need a laugh or need to roll my eyes because there's something in them.

Maybe you can just sit back and think about our glorious stimulus disaster and pending socialist healthcare program as you listen so intently, as you've regularly proven. When your finished with all of that and are totally absorbed in the greatness of your understanding, then you can get fired up about the already under way Cartersque pacifism.

Now, about that first silly answer. Seems it was undeined by the second pile of words. See, while you're whining that nobody here gives a rip about your gibberish, you gave us some above, that we apparently don't listen to. Talk about needing to learn something.

When someone ask you a legitimate question, you don't answer. It would seem that you are the one with the closed mind.

So, you support this type of action by the current POTUS?

You feel that this is the direction America needs to take?
Well?

Is there anything illegal or unconstitutional about this? This is a legitimate question, because I read through everything and I didn't find anything about being put on a "list" of any sort. The only thing being asked for is information being spread around via emails and rumors. Why even care about this?

There are legitimate reasons to hate where this administration is going with issues like healthcare, taxes, and spending. I agree with OWB to a point here, this just seems like another excuse to b1tch and whine.

I would say it at least borders on an attempt to stifle free speech. One could argue that the chance an email you write about universal healthcare might be reported to the WHITE HOUSE (not just some random fact checker) could influence whether you write said email.

First, what do you have to worry about even if it gets reported...and second, I don't think it will stifle anything anyway. Honestly, what happens if this thread, or this political forum gets reported? Not a damn thing, and that's why no one here gives a rats arse about making it known what they think about this administration and the healthcare disaster it is pushing.

Look at these townhall meetings and healthcare protests, do you really think they care about this administration knowing what they are doing? They are there in person, practicing their first admendment rights...and now we are saying this stifles free speech in anonymous emails?

I said it "borders" on stifling free speech, and if you can't at least admit that then you are not looking at this issue with an open mind.

I agree that most people would not give a rats arse if their email raising legitimate concerns was reported. However I could also see how some people may think twice about writing an email criticizing universal healthcare if they think it may be reported to the f'ing white house. For these people, the white house is stifling free speech by intimidating them from speaking their mind.

Probably nothing, but you can't say they would not have the ability to do something if they wanted to (run a background check on you etc).

Just like if a black panther shows up at the voting booth and I vote republican. They probably won't do anything but they are trying to intimidate me to vote their way. The white house at least appears to be somewhat trying to intimidate people to speak out against universal healthcare.

The "misinformation" being reported on the website that the lady discusses is actually accurate based on Obama's past statements. It is at least a legitimate concern and the White House wants you to report this.

And again, I say it doesn't matter. What is actually unconstitutional or illegal about it? Nothing? Great, then continue b1tching for the sake of b1tching.

How is that supposed to be the problem of the whitehouse? Nobody is stopping them, and they have nothing to worry about.

current US law, enacted after the Nixon administration, prevents the federal government from compiling lists of people's names, faces and their opinions.

current US law also forbids the US government from destroying any emails it receives. So even if the administration decides the narc-line is a bad idea, it cannot legally delete any of the communications it has already received.

Could you be talking about a certain someone who turned in Alabama and a certain someone who turned in Illinois?

What the hell? Why do you think anyone gathers information? To create lists and use for analysis. If they aren't creating lists, why ask for information? It is not just a pile of emails that no one looks at and does not use.

I don't see the big deal. You get some email trashing or praising health insurance reform send it in for validation. No biggie. A lot of crooks out there can use electronic media to spread an untrue rumor. Send it to an email for verification of authenticity.

Makes much more sense then being told "Just believe me".

But yet this is exactly what we are being asked to do with Obama. Even after he has shredded just about every other promise or pledge he has made.

On top of that he had one of his people tell the American people that they can't trust what they hear with their own ears. The tape in question was an unedited speech in which he was advocating for single payer (government run) health care.

Speaking of that tape can anyone back up the claims that it was unedited?

care to explain what you mean by "validation" and "verification of authenticity"? The last time I checked, the 1st Amendment doesn't require a filter provided by the White House.

You should go into stand-up comedy. I'm sure if you sent a FACTUAL email to the Obama administration, that was critical of Obamacare, they would write back, "yes, all this is true".

It's like a hotline for FAQs is the way I read it.

If I have a question about my auto policy, I'll pick up the phone and call my agent. Sure, I could read the policy and figure out how it applies to my situation, or I could just ask a specific question and get a quick answer.

Believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see.
