Kellie’s Post Game Interview: “Keyen Likely Out for Season”

She lead the team in +/-. IU couldn't score when she was playing/fouling.

I hear you and i totally get she is an important part to our team. I just hope she gets that. she was pulled from the game , coached up on the sideline, to only go right back in and make the mistake a play or two later and Kellie sorta threw her hands up and pulled her again. She also was addressed by her teammates to get more motivated and to move on to the next play.

That’s what i meant by a very meh game. Not just her play but her attitude as well.

I agree with you Key has much more potential, But how do we get her to display that talent. ? My thinking is KJH may need to hire a coach that has played in the post, And has worked with other post players. KJH has was hc at WC NCS Missouri St. No knock against John but, But i`m not sure if he has ever worked with a post player with Key`s potential. If you want we can throw Emily into the mix.

I want her to play to her potential and show some emotions. Even the most serene players show emotions at times and she just goes through the motions.

Awe all know her potential but Pat said it best Hardwork beats talent when talent don’t work hard! I am hoping that continual hard work is what we get from Key. i want to see her post hard and hold it not give it up right away. LOL i am glad she doesn’t get 3 seconds called on her in the lane though😂 Urgency is the word i am looking for ! A word Kellie has used with her team as a whole. Key, we saw the defensive menance you were with SC there is no turning back now 😂

I do love your interest in the Key sisters though you help keep the rest of us in the loop...

I got you and you're correct. Her stat line was very "meh". She only got to play 18 minutes, which sucked for her team because the team performed very well when she was on the floor. She has to realize that her very presence affects shots --- she doesn't need to block everything.

She needs to be pushed around and then maybe she will get more aggressive ? i would like to have someone on that staff to do that. But if we don`t then get one. Note Teonni is more polished and aggressive then Tamari also.

Agree with all of you on Key and KK. It just doesn't seem Key has any aggression in her and KK is just not good. KK does nothing well except get 3-4 rebounds a game but her TO's, fouls, etc waay offset the rebounds. With Green out both of them will get more minuets but not sure that's a help. Marta needs to really step up big now.l

She was blahhh the whole game and frustrated and didn’t play well...
Tamari's game is raw. She plays like she just started playing b-ball. Wondering if anyone has worked with her on post moves & positioning. Same with Kasi. And Emily is the same type of player as those two. Their recruitment is from the prior coaching staff & all makes sense now. But what is coach Harper doing to make them better post players?

I said she needs a post player coach someone who played in the post like Parker, She can help her on the offensive end and Ashley Robinson can teach her how to play defense without fouling so much. ;)
