Kelly to Clemson, Patrick to Bama (Rumor)

I bet you were one of the first to jump to Phil's defense when someone called him a fat slob.

Yes he always claimed when he was spooning with Phil he could get his arms fully around him...

Well, it looks like you guys have just as many rumors as we do. I enjoyed reading the thread, though. On the original topic, nobody in Alabama is sure where KK and PP will end up, either. Or Marlon Brown, or Marsalis Teague, or etc... On another topic, don't write off Oku yet. The whole Chizik-with-Pat-Dye-behind-the-scenes thing makes me lift an eyebrow, but I'm not convinced that they pull Oku from you yet. We'll see...

Finally a voice of reason from a Bama fan on this site...

It was just a pleasant surprise. There's been a fair amount of trolls here the past few days...

Our site as well. Rivalry weeks bring them in from one team, NSD brings them in from all over. I lurk here and at TigerDroppings (I just can't lurk an Auburn site--it makes me need to take a shower), but rarely post. Don't worry, I won't try to get in a flame war with you here--it's your house. Back to lurking now, and trying not to think about tomorrow until tomorrow...

He says we dont have enough black coaches, thats all he ever says. After yesterdays post I actually put him on my ignore list.

Yeah I just read it. Not only was the post itself ridiculous, but it's kinda hard to trust someone when they keep saying "Hubbs has better info" and "I know, I know, it's just what I heard" etc.

anyone trusting that guy should have their head examined.

This guy obviously doesn't know the new rules... You can't express any doubts about what is going on much less call it bad. And if by some strange alignment of the stars it isn't quite "good" then it is only because the new staff didn't have enough time...

I respectfully disagree.

I believe that this is the perfect forum to publicly raise doubts, concerns, fears, hopes, opinions and otherwise spout off random thoughts. However, this naturally involves some risk that others may not only disagree with your statement(s), but will also challenge you to defend them.

This doesn't make your opinion any less valid than someone else's, nor does it make it any less welcomed, in my opinion.

If your argument / statement / opinion is both valid and defensible, however disagreeable some find it, nothing can harm it. Conversely, it is invalid and indefensible, nothing can save it (at least not in this most astute crowd of people).

As a way of highlighting this point, the following exampled post that would likely draw some sharp reaction by several members:

"Despite mountainous and overwhelming evidence to the contrary, I thought that it was wrong to fire CPF. This naive and foolish belief was predicated on my opinion / feeling that he had, in fact, become larger than the program itself. As a means of correcting this egregious wrong, I intend to react negatively toward those who replaced him, the program itself, and those who remain fans of the program, however baseless or indefensible such a position may be. When challenged to defend any statements made from this nonsensical set of beliefs, I will simply claim that my "legitimate" dissent is somehow being stifled or is unwelcomed, and thus, become a self-made message board martyr."

A cogent, sensible and well-written post from a Bammer who appears to desire an intelligent banter with his fellow SEC brethren / 3rd Saturday combatants?!

WTH!? Who is this wanker to be messing up my stereotypes?!?

Just like Haley's Comet - you know it exists somewhere in the universe, though it's rarely seen.

I bet you were one of the first to jump to Phil's defense when someone called him a fat slob.

How could you defend that Fulmer wasn't a fat slob?

The only encore would be to either disprove the law of gravity, or show evidence of a fiscally-conservative liberal.

Either / Or, take your pick.

I have insider info too, but I can't reveal my sources.

Word is, both of these players are EXPECTED to sign with a Division I team. Source has revealed that they may indicate these intentions on the morrow.
