Kenny Chesney Wiki

Check Chesney's concert schedule. He has two May concerts in Alabama before he plays again in Tennessee. Wonder if his people change his wiki picture according to the schedule?

Or maybe his popularity has risen and waned parallel to Tennessee football's success. Everybody wants to look like a winner in the image business.

The only jersey that counts is what he wears on Saturdays when he's at home with no visitors.
He probably likes Alabama, Georgia, Florida, etc..... US Currency as much as he likes Tennessee US Currency..... its all green to him and he likes to get as much as possible by catering to an audience now and again. I would not wear the stuff of another school myself having no millions of fans that give me money. (I have worn old UTC stuff, back when they were the Indian shoe Mocs instead of the stupid "Mocking Bird" Moc's, however i do like the cheer..."GIVE EM THE BIRD!" )

I live in St Thomas, USVI. Hurricanes Irma and Maria destroyed both the US and British Virgin islands, including Kenny's home on St John. It's hard to describe what 200mph winds can do to trees, homes, and lives. Kenny donated an incredible amount of time, effort, and money to help locals rebuild and restart. On Jost Van Dyke, he built a dock and had people shuttle supplies to isolated locals on the island, all at his own expense and all while the British government were effectively ignoring them. Local BVI folks call him "Uncle Kenny". He also created a record called "Songs for the Saints" that brought attention to the devastation -- with 100% of album sales going to the recovery.

Whether you like his music or not, rest assured his heart is in the right place and he stepped up when it mattered most. There are plenty of millionaires and billionaires with land in the VI who stayed in the weeds.

Kenny has my eternal respect and gratitude, no matter what shirt he wears.

While that could be a good example of a philanthropist heart, it could also be a good example of a marketing mind. Most of his following considers themselves as part of the "no shoes nation" that imagine life in a beach lifestyle. The contributions and efforts, in the situation you mentioned, done in Kenny's name, certainly boosted his stature in his fans' minds and hearts. This doesn't make Kenny a good or bad person. I just think he is loyal to whatever feeds his relevance.

In that context, Kenny is a UT fan whenever he thinks he needs to be a UT fan.

I won't argue semantics or try to change your mind. I only know what I witnessed first hand. He stepped up in a big way when lots of other rich people faded away. He did a helluva lot more down here than the average fan knows (private planes, cargo barges with food, sheltering homeless folks, etc).

For the record, Richard Branson was also very supportive to the folks on Virgin Gorda. He setup a non-profit, donated a lot of his money, and assigned his son to lead cleanup and rescue efforts. He also supports educational programs and young entrepreneurs in the BVI and has for decades.

As far as Chesney's unilateral support of the Vols is concerned, I can't say where his allegiances fall.

I wonder how long schools and organizations maintain the rights to their now discarded, un-woke team logos?

There's a gold mine of swag sales out there to the "politically dissident" and "insensitively nostalgic." I do see ads here for Ebbets Field vintage flannels, but maybe the Hiroshima Carp and Sankei Atoms haven't been enlightened yet to their corporate callousness.

And, yes, the first time I heard about the Mocs "discontinued shoe style," I truly thought it was a sophomoric joke. Too ridiculous to be real, I thought, naively. Between the protests and the headlines, there's no space for satire.

Who the hell ever saw a "sexy" tractor. That smacks of the guy with raised, big tired, 4X4 king cap truck with a bed that would have trouble carrying a sack of yard fertilize to their wife's rose bed. Bad ass bunch! Sexy tractor my as-!
Well that went from 0-100 in a nano-second. My truck is a Ram 1500 standard cab, two wheel drive, appropriate tires, and I've hauled a lot more that fertilizer in that bad boy.

Or until Tim Tebow comes around.

True story.
Saw Kenny Chesney in New York. We were front row. My cousin was wearing his power T hat. KC brought a sharpie mid concert and asked if my cousin wanted him to sign his hat. DUH. The guy next to us tried to get his cowboy hat signed. KC very politely said “sorry, I only sign Tennessee gear from the stage.” He will wear other peoples stuff to sell tickets. but I believe he’s a Vol at heart.

cool story bro
