Corey Smith doesn't have much of a problem just supporting one team no matter what crowd he is playing to. Chesney is a frontrunner

Im a Chesney fan and Im pretty certain he grew up a Vols fan. He's said as much several times. The guy makes a living catering to the college crowd. I dont have a problem with it, and if he ever showed up here in Aggieland, Im certain someone would give him a maroon aTm cap.

Just my 2 cents.

That's because no one gives a damn about Corey Smith.

When your song gets played all season long during college football season on ESPN, their is a certain obligation to play up the local football team. If I was getting paid as much as Kenny Chesney, I'd do the same thing.

Listen, i dont care how big of a "fan" you claim to be, the only thing good about crimson and gator orange apparel is using it to clean up the huge dog dump the Great Dane neighbor dog just left in your yard. If i was a musician and was a hardcore sports fan, i would rather be hated for my allegiances but respected for my music then to be known as some poser who panders to rival fans like a spineless tool.

what's lost in all of this is there really is no need for him to do so. like I said before, they are already there to listen to his crappy music because they like that sort of thing. no need to win them over twice.

That speech at the beginning gives me chills. Its exactly how i feel. Id give anything to suit up again and go after it. Nothing lasts forever. Make the most of it while you have it.

I really dont see a problem with it. If he wants to be a douchebag let him. If i was playing a crowd in Gainesville, and they brought a gator helmet to me, they would turn around and take it right back where it came from. I dont put garbage anywhere on my body.

It's not a gimmick. It's no different than when a guy in a band wears a cowboy hat when they play in Nashville. Or when they change cities in songs to the city they are in.

Let's not forget that they are entertainers and its there job to show people a good time. Jort wearing mouth breathers love that stuff and they are the ones that buy records and go to the shows. I can't believe I'm backing up Chesney on this but I don't see the big deal.

Putting on the Gator helmet and Alabama hat is going too far.

Doesn't matter though, his music sucks. All his songs are the freakin' same, him singing about wishing he was still in high school.
