My wife has a cousin that has done time for 4 felonies, including strong armed robbery. A true piece of human debris that is cooking/selling meth and selling EVERYTHING else. He has no license and has show up at our and her mothers house trying to sell stolen goods that people give him for dope. He has warrants in Cattoosa, but weI live lessin than aI mile from thea Tn border. I call everytime on the scum bag. I don't necessarily think HE'LL rob us, but half of the time he has a junkie with him that I'm sure he tells about my artifact collection, ect. After the second time I warned him that my best buddy next door is an attorney and we all pack serious heat in my "mini-farm 'hood. Each time I called the police and they didn't get him eith his car full of stolen goods. Well, to the shagrin of everyone in my wife s fam, he showed up at Thanksgiving in Chatt. He said yhat he had been pulled over on hwy 58 the eeek before with NO license. He's ALEAYS crocked and has a trunk of stolen goods and usually drugs. Dude is a multiple violent offender and the cop didn't search him, let him call his brother to pick him up and let him go. Im frezking LIVID. If I dont have a trout stamp while fishing the Clinch, Hiawasse or so. Holston they'll fine my arse off and take my boat without blinking. Our country is SCREWED!!!! Dude is a threat to society and I can tell a "tweaker" in the freaking grocery and that was a COP!! Then you hear about this crap and its MADDENING. Hell, I had one of Knoxville 's finest almost take me down and jail me, a VP of a medical company that hadn't had but 3I beers 4and hrs before at the Tin Toof for anticipating a light change 2 seconds too early. Hey, I know, let's thwart the constitution and keep law abiding citizens from owning guns....'cuz we all know the criminals are buying theirs legally and then, we'll all be safe. Brilliant. These stories make me want to puke. Sorry for the "marathon" thread, but it's worth knowing.

I think you have had one too many tonight.

So am I the only person that understands there's a strong police presence on Alcoa Highway? The big bust happened on 129 with Smith, Tatum, Goins, and Williams as well.

Sure there is.

But some dumbass cop pulling someone over for going 70 in a 55 at 5 AM? Geesh.

IIRC 15 can be reckless driving. So I think getting pulled over for it is warranted.

Nah. None. I am giving a perspective on why the PD, that SHOULD deserve our respect, are pawns of an over reaching " Big Brother" that preys on simple targets that PRODUCE REVENUE, like a car moving 70 in a 55 when the roads are barren while TRUE criminals that cannot be extorted because they have nothing are allowed to roam and plunder and pillage because they COST and can't be "municapaly extorted". THAT is why we are all at risk snd innocents go to jail....$$$$$

Personally, I think going 70 in a 55 deserves to be pulled over.

Speeding is speeding, no matter what. Is it still breaking and entering even if the door was unlocked? Yes. Better question, unless it was for practice, why was he out at 5a?

When it rains, turn on your headlights.

Can't stand it when people don't. Seems like the ones that don't are always driving dark colored cars, which make then even more difficult to see.

Turns out his real name is McElrath we should play that guy and bench Kenny Hall I don't see him being any worse.

Hall rides the pine for 40 minutes and we play arguably one of our best games of the season.

Maybe it won't always be practical, but Stokes and four guards looked pretty efficient last night. The spacing was great. And if Stokes has to dish the ball off he at least has quicker and better receivers (whereas Kenny and Yemi often display brick hands).

For driving on a suspended license...

"I don't know all the details, but from what I know sounds pretty minor. *We're digging to make sure, but as of now I don't think there was anything to it other than a previously unpaid ticket (since paid) that resulted in the suspended license. As some others below noted, not sure why that escalated into a full-blown arrest. Coach Martin is generally pretty tough about discipline, but unless something comes out about this that's unknown at the moment I would be surprised if he goes over the top on this with Hall."

"We are making sure there's not anymore to it, but at the moment, like I posted above, doesn't appear that there was anything going on other than the suspended license that was for an unpaid ticket, that had been paid off but that Kenny didn't have proof of payment for on his person."

"Now, I don't know if he has previous traffic violations in Knox Co. that would have influenced matters, but for the moment the issue doesn't seem like a huge deal other than the fact that he was actually arrested."

-Rob Lewis
Let's keep these hard core criminals off our streets!!!!!! Meanwhile, a pound of crack was sold on the other side of town, but good job boys.

I half agree with you. The first half. Team scored 18 points in the second half. Almost like they played the last 20 minutes in honor of Kenny.

Yeah, I suppose this group will always have consistency issues.

Still, that first 20 minutes was probably the longest sustained period of quality play on both ends of the floor they've shown all year. Maybe they'll go two halves Saturday..
