Coaches are constantly on the hunt for young post players who can run, catch and, even if just on occasion, finish a play. The Georgia Stars' 2009 prospect Kenny Hall more than fits this mold. Athletic and long, Hall has the wheels to keep up with any pace and has a knack for getting to the ball. Offensively, he can hit the mid-range jumper and can finish around the basket. As he improves his strength, he should become a proficient finisher in traffic. His activity on defense at the Peach Jam also gave the opposition fits in the lane. An extensive list of high major schools will attempt to land this promising prospect.
If true, this is huge. I think Hall is going to be a great pickup - Tim Floyd, Ben Howland, and Billy Clyde all thought enough of him to offer a scholly.
this is potentially great news. rob lewis over at volquest doesnt think we will hear aything publicly tonight. but we could hear some good news pretty soon.

First off, chances that T. Smith stays for 2 more years are slim to none. Chilly is a junior this year. So, we signed 2 this year and we lose 3. So, if T. Smith is the only player who goes pro early next year, we should have 3 scholly's including Kenny Hall.
We will have 2 or 3 scholarships for the 2009 class depending on whether we sign 3 or 4 in 2008. Tyler Smith will be gone after his Jr. year, no chance he stays until he's a Sr.
Take it to the bank we will have at least 2. Tyler Smith is good as gone after next season. Pearl wouldn't sign or offer West if he thought there would be a chance w'ed be left with only 1 scholly for 2009.
BruceAlmighty, no such luck. By the time I quit yapping and got down to the post game show, none of them were to be seen. So i waited thinking they would come back out with a coach or something but they didnt or at least I didnt notice any of them. Hey at least I tried, and a commitment is far better than a picture of them. We will have plenty more opportunities to take their pictures. Go Vols!
