Kenny Rogers...cheater?

I wonder if the officials will be 'shaking his hand' or checking him at all during the next game he's in.

I'd bet his hands are pretty clean throughout the game since Fox will have 3 camera angles of his hand at all times.

And you will get the over-analysis by the announcers over the quality of his pitches in that game as well. They will compare his delivery, speed, etc. That game will be turned into some ESPN4 baseball science show.

It was only one inning. He still stopped them for the next 6 or 7 innings.

Like John Kruk said, he'll just put it somewhere else. :lol:

Yea, an interesting note I heard, Kenny is the only Tiger that wears a hat where the underside of the bill is either dark blue or black. Every other Tiger player has a grey bill, hhhmmmm...

Just thought this was worth posting:

According to rule 8.02(a)(2) through 8.02(a)(6), the pitcher shall not:
(2) expectorate on the ball, either hand or his glove;
(3) rub the ball on his glove, person or clothing;
(4) apply a foreign substance of any kind to the ball;
(5) deface the ball in any manner; or
(6) deliver a ball defaced in a manner prescribed by Rule 8.02(a)(2) through (5) or what is called the "shine" ball, "spit" ball, "mud" ball or "emery" ball. The pitcher is allowed to rub the ball between his bare hands.

According to the penalties set forth in the Official Baseball Rules, "For violation of any part of Rules 8.02(a)(2) through (6): (a) The pitcher shall be ejected immediately from the game and shall be suspended automatically for 10 games."

He also has that mannerism before he pitches the ball where he tugs on the bill of his hat, pats the back of his hat, then does the tug on the tip of the bill again...hmm.

So even if this was mud, there are still questions as to the response.
Even if this was mud, he should have been ejected. Especially considering it has been in the exact same spot in all 3 of his postseason games. He has not left himself much room to write this off as some careless oversight.
