Looking back on it, I was concerned with the team's long term future when this was the car they decided to run at the all-star race.

Looks like something Aubrey James would drive.

One rumor is that he is going to Dodge with Andretti, who has suposedly bought Penske's engine program. I dont see him going to a start up team but we will see.

On a side note, it was nice to see a Dodge in the winners circle again.

He would be crazy to go with a start up at this point in his career and waste 2-3 years trying to get that team where they want to be.

You have to wonder with there success so for this year if MWR will try and field a 4th car next year or with the way the 55 team has performed if they will get a full time driver to run it instead of Mark Martin. If Martin was running all the races MWR would likely have all 3 teams in the top 10 in points.

On a side not about a start up team if someone say Andretti gets sponsorship and puts the money in for quality equipment and personnel they can compete fairly quickly with a top driver.

I would be surprised to see Andretti make the move to NASCAR because his Indy teams have had a very small amount of success. It would be hard, I would think, to try and improve his Indy car teams and start a NASCAR team all at the same time. I know with the right people in place anything is possible but I would be surprised to see this move actually happen.

Glad to see Ricky get his shot in Cup. I remember when he was struggling so bad and wrecking every week in Nationwide and I thought "Roush needs to get rid of this kid, he sucks." Glad I was wrong. Good for Stenhouse, and best of luck to Kenseth wherever he goes.

I can't believe they are going to let Kenseth walk. I don't know the details about all of this, but it's hard to imagine replacing a top 10 driver with a somewhat unproven commodity. I know he is younger and has proven he can win at the lower level, but still.....

Kenseth's contract was up and he decided to make the switch. Plus this helps RFR out in the short term, they don't have to pay Stenhouse a ton of money like they would have had to do to keep Matt. Plus the fact they just locked up Biff and Carl to long term deals. Not to mention RFR's developmental program is starting to get full and they needed to promote one or risk losing them.

I wonder what the status is on Trevor Bayne's contract? The reason I ask is, (I know that TB & RS are friends) but if I was TB who has run more Cup races than Stenhouse (with several good showings) and by the way a Daytona 500 in my back pocket. I believe, I would be pissed that Stenhouse got the full time ride instead of me! Especially with rumors that Bayne will get demoted to the #6 Nationwide car for possibly two full seasons with limited Cup races.

Ricky has a Nationwide championship under his belt that is why he got the first shot.

Plus Stenhouse runs at the NASCAR level on a consistent bases. He is a regular in the Nationwide, while Bayne is a part time Cup driver. He would have been a full time Nationwide driver had sponsorship not dried up, but he isn't even doing that regularly right now.

At worst, Trevor Bayne will have a full-time Nationwide deal with Roush next season. Better things could always come up, though.

Bayne really hasn't run all that well outside of plate racing. He hasn't even run a full Nationwide schedule yet.

Yes I'm aware of all that! However Roush thought enough of Bayne that he put him in a couple of Cup races the year before last. I think even had a top 10-15 run at Texas in his first Cup start.

All I'm saying is don't you think Bayne would be upset by this considering Roush just locked up Edwards & Biffle to an extended contract. How long is he going to have to set in the Nationwide Series until Roush has a spot available? Don't you think Bayne is thinking man there some great rides that might be open that I can't get in. How bout those owners like Tony Stewart & Michael Waltrip with the possibility of full time (#39 & #55) rides available they would jump at the chance to have a kid like Bayne.

As bad as I want to see Bayne in a great full time Cup ride, I would like for him to get at least one full NNS season under his belt.

He will be taking over the full time Nationwide ride from Stenhouse next year, that has been confirmed.

He was let go from Waltrip's Nationwide team, doubt he goes back there unless he brings money. I don't see Tony ever starting a Nationwide team.

I wish all the best for Trevor. I hope he does get the full time Nationwide ride with a sponsor and goes on to do great things.
