I didn’t. You choose to be dumb. Youth isn’t an excuse.

Some of us would have probably been doing stupid things, but were too busy working.

Personally, I can't imagine having a car at that age that would even reach 120. Only way the best up old Accord I was driving in college would ever reach that speed is if you somehow launched it out of a canon.

My point is, people will want to give the kid a lot of grief as well as Stoops. Maybe it is a one time event, maybe he is a troubled kid. I have no idea. While youth is no excuse, a kid away from home is more prone to doing stupid things.

I had a 1973 VW Bug with 46HP. Maybe hit 70 once downhill.

Lucky you. I had a beat up old civic that felt like it was going to die any time I pushed the gas pedal. Drives back home during college were always started with a prayer and followed by fingers crossed until I got home.

It got me through my college years though. I didn’t know what to think when I got my first “real” car.

Now who’s making excuses? Working? I worked plenty and still found plenty of time for dumb things!

Hey, you still had a Honda. I had a Pontiac 1000, their version of the Chevette but not even that cool. Had an AM only radio and no power steering. It was a pretty sweet grey though, like primer.
