Kentucky at Tennessee Game 3 Thread - 2 PM - ESPN3

AHC will develop into a very good pitcher. Next year our staff is looking solid. Doubt KS sticks around but you never know. It's a shame I'm already talking about next year....

I thought the staff would be better this year...what the heck did I know...:thud:, but, anyway...

GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NorCal is out in his car, went to get me a hat or shirt from wine country I assume.

Ha ha. We seem to score runs when I go somewhere, so I thought I would try that. Unfortunately it worked as well as you betting on UK.

Well, thanks vol66, OldTimer, txbo, and NCV67...not one of our better days, but hopefully things will get better...I can only hope so. Have a good night, and...as always...

GO BIG ORANGE!

CDS post game worth the watch......

Bullpen had 5 complete innings and gave up 15 hits and 4 guys did not record an out.
Sounded more disappointed in the offense, 2 runs is not going to win too many SEC games

AHC to start Wednesday and will see limited action as he will pitch against SC and some their lefty's. Feels Marin is about to turn the corner.....

EDIT: not sure why the video is not playing, just follow the youtube link below....

So far, nope.

A guy said on the basillo show that this team doesn't look any different from year 1 of Serrano.

Considering the batting line up and pitching from top to bottom, this could very well be Serrano's least talented team, including the first one....... and from all indications, next year's team will be worse than this one.

If that's the case, then how is he still here?

I'm not there yet on this team. I realize that if ifs and buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas however we've been a hit away in all 3 SEC series to win 2 games. Yes, bullpen pitching has been hit hard, literally and figuratively however we've been in most every game this year and all you can ask for is a chance to win.

I'll make my personal decision on a teams success or failures after the season is over. For right now, theres a lot of baseball to be played and its not getting any easier in the SEC either.....

OT, not saying it's his worst team, but it is the least talented one. Here's to hoping they overachieve....and I think they have to this point.

The bullpen lacks any sort of confidence and I do not think they are listening or practicing what the coaches are telling them.

They can't throw strikes to save their mother's lives. For many, their arm slots are all over the place as they are overthrowing.

Going into the 8th inning. Kentucky knew they were against the wall. The Vols' big bats were coming up against a tired starter whom they had all seen several times. We went to bullpen first an ended their anxieties completely.

I believe our offensive just got discouraged by the time they came up in the 8th. Instead of down 3-1 staring at a big inning. The game was over. More gas got thrown on the fire in top of 9th

If we are the elite offense we think we are we score much more than 1 run the first 7 innings on a Sunday. Has zero to do with being discouraged late in the game. The offense disappointed Bigtime sat and sun but it happens and that's why pitching is much more important
