I think that is the starting lineup I would like to see.
Andrew will run point.
Aaron will be SG. He should draw mismatches with his height. Can shoot and drive well.
Poythress/Randle - Big guys who can put the ball on the floor and still be physical enough to rebound and defend.
WCS - Defender and energy guy. I'm still questioning him offensively but he's a good player when he's focused.
And then of course you have Lee, Young and Johnson as the main role players. Lee is a like a shorter WCS (athletic freak). Young is a shooter but can drive it and has shown great hands on defense. Johnson is just a man down low. If he started he'd be a walking double-double.
I agree. I was looking at some of the SEC's schedules and noticed LSU will have a chance to make some noise against Memphis later in the month (Assuming they take care of Siena)
Btw, I think Duke is overrated. They have a trend of underachieving recently (other than the NC).
Anyway, nice to see the classic games extended a few more years.
Last year they finished exactly where they should have. 8th and got to elite 8. But in the last 10 years they usually underachieve (not extremely, but generally)
They've got super star potential in Parker this season, and a great duo in the back court. K is also a hard coach to count out; right when you think they're overrated, they win an NC with Brian Zoubek starting.
I think UK will start slower than most their fans expect, but will be rolling by March. I think Louisville will be very good all season, if/when Behanan comes back he could be the difference there.
I'm with those who think LSU will be much improved, JOB is one of the most underrated players in the country IMO. I don't think they'll be ranked but I think they'll likely sneak into the tourney.
I think they lose to Michigan State regardless. But they'll be playing well enough to get through Providence, Baylor, etc. The target date will be playing well enough to go on the road Dec 14th and beat UNC. I think that might be tough... and then two weeks later vs. Louisville....
I've heard people say something about this team going undefeated.
btw, LSU will be much improved, but they're a bubble team at best IMO
i agree.louisville has a fine looking team.i hope to see kevin ware on the floor for the cardinals this year.maybe some can step up in the absence of that power forward they lost.shane.forgot his last name.
For the umpteenth time this is "around the ncaa". Unless you're retarded and can't read "Kentucky Basketball" in the title then you made the choice to read it and come here. If it bothers you that much just ignore it.
And no I'm not a troll. There are plenty of VN users who can vouch for me.
There have been UT fans having discussions on this thread. Seems like you are the only one with the problem.
I can sum this thread up in a few sentences without even looking. Kentucky will win a lot of regular season games and could go deep in the tournament but will not win a title because they will not gel enough to beat solid teams with senior leaders and players that have been there. They do not have a coach, they have an ace recruiter. That's Kentucky basketball today.
Both teams will lose a couple early IMO. Both will earn very high seeds by the end of the year.
Gutsy prediction of the year: Louisville becomes the first 1 seed to lose to a 16 seed.
I kid.
I can post wherever I want to. Not sure why you want to act like a jerk about it. This is a board for everyone (there aren't any rules restricting outside fans). Yes, we know you all wish we weren't here. But we are so deal with it. You all have a ton more forum sections to post about UT in than we do about other schools.
