Kentucky beats Florida

Something of note:

Every team we have played this season lost their next game after us.

That may change next week since Mizzou plays North Texas, but I think it says something about the physicality of our team that every opponent thus far has lost after playing us. Pitt dropped their game against Western Michigan and now Florida lost to Kentucky.

And, oddly enough, we still control our destiny to win the East (not that THAT will happen, though).

I say we beat Vandy, South Alabama, and USC, and split one of Ole Miss/ UK. ‘Bama & UGA are just too good right now.

Basically, the Gators did what we did in our game with them. They beat themselves. If our Vols would just stop doing that, it wouldn't surprise me if we came in 1st or 2nd in the SEC east, and give Bama a real game. Maybe even scare the tobacco juice out of their rears and into their ears.

And I agree but what you saw with the big plays is what the vols have been working on and they are finally starting to make them that's why if they execute and get up 21 on Clemson or other teams it gets them out of rhythm on D and O.

We “has been’s” just don’t understand like you “never were’s”

stoops has been there 10 years and his recruiting class was 34th. We fired a cheating coach with an NCAA investigation hanging over our head and came in at 24. You’re not winning the East. You’re not winning the SEC ever. And stoops is wrong. You’re not a top 4 sec program.

Don’t get me wrong. I’ve said over and over that because of our administration we won’t win another championship in my lifetime. But at Tennessee it’s at least possible.

They also lost to Memphis. I think it's more TAMU was very overrated. Remember they almost lost to Colorado who sucks.

Depending on the situation, Tennessee is very capable of being an SEC East contender with the right coach and leadership.

It all starts with the big wigs. We had dealt with an incapable administration under Hamilton, Currie, and Fulmer that set us back even further than before.

DW seems like a smart dude who understands the importance on how to win big in the SEC.

Yes, JH wasn’t our first choice but he has shown promise so far. We need more depth and little bit more talent to compete with the likes of Bama and Georgia. Will we win? Maybe not but there’s no reason we can’t be competitive with those guys.

I’m not sold on Kentucky in any way. I think the lose to LSWHO next and get boat raced by Ga the week after.
If Kentucky can beat LSWho next week then I’ll take another look at it.
I in no way saw us killing Mizzou so I guess we will see how it works out.

Didn’t say they wasn’t a threat! I simply stated they was a 4-0 team not ranked and was very fortunate not to have lost to USC, Missouri and CHATTANOOGA!! I forgot Chatt was a powerhouse. Florida had 11 penalties over 100 yards. If we would have made the basic plays against Florida we would have had our chances late in the 4th. 211 yards of offense not gonna beat LSU, Miss State UGA and UT.

But it makes so much sense to keep a coach around knowing he’ll never take the next step?

Were they not just recently staring at a 10 win season and because of Stoops missed the mark?
