A report surfaced Friday afternoon claiming that Phillips had resigned. While the report itself ended up being bogus, it still gained enough attention that the school had to officially deny it.

Which is why we’re here right now.

UK athletics spokesman Tony Neely made it clear Friday afternoon that any reports of Phillips resigning were “absolutely false”, adding that the coach and athletic director Mitch Barnhart “haven’t even seen each other in the last 24 hours.“

it doesn't matter, it's pretty much a done deal that Joker is gone, it's just a matter of if it's gonna be during the season or after the season. personally, it would be nice if he's still around till the end of the season so we can make sure the door hits his a$$ on the way out.

Can't wait to see who Kentucky hires. It is going to be a shoot for the moon and hope to land in the stars type thing. We really need a big name because our recruiting base and facilities hurts us. Over the summer, Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio, interviewed Mitch Barnhart. Barnhart told Jones that if they found the right person, "We are prepared to make them the highest paid coach in the country." Money will be no object, it's a matter of who can look past the current state of the program. The facilities will come. UK is in the groundwork of a 100 million dollar makeover to commonwealth and it's football practice facility.

Coaching football at UK is career suicide for the sane man. You gotta go after somebody with a dinged-up resume to convince him to come (Leach, Petrino, etc).

If they hire Petrino, it will be hard to continue to be a fan.

Kentucky would be smart to go after Zook

The man can recruit and if he had the right staff, can win at Kentucky
