As funny as that sounds, Phil will undoubtedly beg for an interview. Since Barnhart is a former UT guy, he'll probably give him one.
I just don't think that Fulmer is what UK needs. He mailed it in the last few years for UT.

Honestly, I think your best bet, and best hope for long term success at UK, is to go after (a) an OC or DC at a solid mid-major program, or (b) a HC at a successful FCS school. You're going to have to be patient enough to give them 5-6 years to figure out how to recruit / develop / coach / and then win in the SEC. But I could see UK turning into a consistent 7-8 win team, and a serious spoiler in the SEC.
Hiring "re-treads" has not worked, and probably never will. Although I think Petrino would take the HC job at Our Lady of the Worthless Miracle just to get back in the game. He would win...just long enough to jump ship to a bigger program when they came calling. A zebra cannot change it's stripes.
It will be interesting to see which path the AD takes.
Who would you take for the job right now-Dooley or Petrino?
Alot of people like to poke fun at Joker and his time as a HC. What is not funny is he and Dooley have the same SEC record. Jokers wins in the SEC at least on paper, look better. Why is Dools still here? Oh!! That's right, UK expects more from their football program than we do.lol:
Wouldn't that be hilarious if UK hires Fulmer and he already has Randy Sanders there in place, then he goes out and gets Cutcliffe and somehow convinces the chief to leave LSU. Then he grabs Tee Martin from USC to come back to UK. It'll be like old times, just slightly north.
