Alot of those stats came against awful teams too. Hurd chubb Michel fournette payne Robinson Collins the other arky kid that's 8 right there that are better. Yeldon too that's 9 that aren't even debatable.

Of course it's debatable. Your opinion isn't any more of an authority than ours.

Actually.... well may main argument is the guy stated kemp is a top three back in the sec next that's just absolute fantasy.

I understand. Saying he isn't top 3 is a perfectly legit argument, I won't disagree. Saying he's not top 9 and it's "not debatable" doesn't stack up the same to me.

So according to you Hurd is 3rd no matter a good/bad offensive line? You think they have no affect on a running backs ability to succeed?

Hurd played extremely well with one of our worst O-Lines in the SEC so that should tell you something. Could you imagine what he can do with a more better and experienced O-Line? He's already shown what he's capable of doing. He's only going to get better, that's the scary part.

Fair enough. I'm just wondering what would be the visible difference in 3rd with a good Oline, and 3rd with a bad Oline. But it makes sense.

His physical gifts are probably right up there in nation as far as running backs go. He's what, 6'2 or 6'3 and 220+? Crazy.

Is Hurd top 3? Honest question. Where would you rank him.

No hurd is not top three to me. Alot of that is the line. Hurd behind bamas line is probably top three. Kemp is not even close to that behind bamas line. He Is not even the best back on one of the worst teams in the sec.

6'3 and 225 pounds. Also, when comparing JoJo Kemp (Who was mentioned in this thread) to Jalen Hurd, it's kind of an unfair comparison. Both are different types of backs. Hurd is more of the "bruiser back" who can run between the tackles and gain yards when he needs too. Kemp is more of a "scat back" whose dangerous in space and who can use his speed to gain necessary yards. Of course Kemp is like 5'9, 190+ pounds and Hurd is 6'3, 225 pounds so that makes a difference in both of those backs as well. Put it this way, both are great backs while Hurd is the better back so far. Both should be improved though next season.

How could he be top nine and he doesn't even get the majority of the carries for uk? I'm just wondering

Well said. Thanks.

Same for Michel of UGA. Only had 64 carries all season. We had 4 players at 59 or more.

You kentucky guys will agree with me that kemp being a top 3 rb is very unlikely and that an sec title in football is a fantasy next year correct?

Disagree. Like McCat said, with the same tools around him as what other backs have, he's potentially a top 5 back.

Kemp averaged 6 yards per game (not carry) per game in Kentucky's last 6 games. Had one good game and that was running the wildcat against USC jr but everybody had a big game against them.

Absolutely. I heard UT fans say the same thing the last two years though. Every fanbase has delusional people that go to far.

I don't understand the draw of reporting what opposing fans are saying elsewhere. The last thing you'll ever hear me say is, "Guess what they're saying at VolNation?"

But if you think about it, it is similar to a rival fan hanging out on a competitors board. I bet everyone of you has said to somebody, 'guess what I read on VN'.
