Kentucky lost again

That's hardly "barely extending his leg".

I'll agree that it wasn't called consistently, but by the rule, that's a foul. And anyone saying it isn't would be buying new TVs after they threw their remote thru theirs if that were Sheppard shooting and ZZ defending and it went uncalled.
Beaa-ha-ha ! You are talking about me, are you not? It has been almost 2 years since I did that

He definitely extended it. I have no problem with the call. I have a problem with that basket not counting. That's a stupid rule. The ball is already out of his hand.
This - is there some obscure rule specifically stating this or would it not be like the any other offensive foul where the shot counts if it’s released before the contact?

I mentioned it a couple other places, in hindsight, I guess it's no different that driving the lane and putting up a floater that goes in, but your momentum carries you into a stationary defender. Offensive foul, no basket. I'm guessing that is the line of reasoning.

That’s what I thought and if so waving off the basket was a terrible call since the contact clearly happened after the shot?

P.s. I may have misunderstood your clearly written statement. I thought it was like a charging call. Shot before contact - basket counts. Shot during/after contact - no basket. What am I missing?

But on a drive to the basket that results in a floater (think ZZ), the contact occurs after the shot is released as well. Still no basket and an offensive foul.

Specifically as it relates to a player-control foul, I think they eliminated the rule where a basket can count after the release some time ago.

I think this might be the best shooting team Cal has had in awhile. We are going to have to be on our A game to score with this Kentucky team.

This will be the biggest issue. We will make it hard for them because of our defense but a lot like North Carolina they will score. If we are brick city it will be hard to win.
