From what I remember he had a minimal impact in the recruiting. The few guys he helped bring in aren't are top targets, definitely impact guys, but not must haves. Special teams and secondary were atrocious this year, and it's not a shock he is leaving after one year. Both areas he coached were arguably the worst on the team at times. Recruiting be damned if we can't do anything on the actual field with what we have.
Someone told me Neal Brown was big in Damien Harris's recruitment, which I don't really recall knowing. I don't think it's a huge deal even if he is, because Harris seems smart enough to know the picture is a lot bigger than one guy who leaves.
