It was the manner in which it was said. It was clearly derogatory. I'm thinking if I went over to Kentucky's site and said "lol, you guys are losing 13-3 to a bad Big East team", it wouldn't go over too well. That would also be a true statement.

Was at the game. UK fans showed up in good numbers but they weren't very into the game.

Legion Field either needs some TLC or the wrecking ball. The middle ground (rusting light stands, intermittent PA, "jumbotron" not working and showing ads when it does instead of replays, etc.) does not leave a good impression on visitors.

Probably about 40K there. Good weather.

What? UK fans not into a football game?? Thats odd.


People in KY are about as interested in football as UT is in sewing.

I know but the showing of fans in numbers was strong.

The comments from the folks around me though were pretty funny. Expectations were definitely low and when things went bad no one seemed at all surprised...:)

UK football games are more of a social event than a real game. Expectations are low and the fans dont have a lot of passion for the sport. As soon as basketball season starts up you can forget about it.

I think its kind of funny how fans from other programs get angry when talking about basketball and announce "well, we've beat UK for XX amount of years in football" to make themselves feel better. I think thats about as equal as saying your rifle team is more dominant than UK's.
