The checkers are to be familiar with what a jockey would wear I'm sure.

The whites are reasonable, but the blues are horrid. The blue socks/shoes are terrible also.

We didn't, but if I was a UK fan and knew that UT used the checkerboard pattern all over their basketball court I would want my team to stay away from that. Maybe that's just me.

Yes. There's also a black patch on the unis that says "Mr. Wildcat," and there's a logo on the court in front of his old seat.
