Some players respond better when being yelled at.

Some players shut down and play worse while being yelled at.

You really need to know your players Personality before screaming at them.

that was another thing EA mentioned from his meeting. CBJ said he needed to get to know each player personally so he could know how to best coach them.

Hey Freak, let's have an official speak to CBJ thread where we can submit questions...and either him or a member of his staff gets on and answers them maybe once a week. Now that'll be cool :)

Prob not a good idea.

I wouldnt want some of the people on this VN to have any contact with CBJ. lol

I can see some of our VN members questions already.

When do you think you will be fired?

What makes you think you can coach at Tennessee?

Micromanaging is when you go on a 20 minute rant about what time they water the grass, while your team is going through drills. Or, when the coach spends hours going through issues regarding apparrel, and then not even letting staff wear what was chosen.

Many of you will never know what an OCD nutjob was allowed to be head coach.

-Talked to him and said CBJ’s eyes lit up when discussing UT
-CBJ said if the job came open it’s the job he wants
- Upbeat tempo and energy on practice field
- Hands-on coaching every position. Takes ownership
- Using microphone to communicate with entire team during practice
- No secrets, every player knows where they stand
- UT needs leadership from the top and CBJ will bring that
- Great communicator and should be good for UT

Kevin Simon...smh, too bad we only saw glimpses of his ability. Had he stayed healthy (oft-injured career beginning w/ blowing out his knee during a HS All-Star gm) he would have been among Tennessee's all-time greats.
