So the recipient barcode is for College Station. While that doesn't reveal who sent it, it does prove that the return address is just a part of the overall message that the writer intended to convey. That envelope isn't the stationery of a well-heeled country club in Houston.

Didn't our fans egg and put Randy Sanders' house on the market?

but, but, but Sanders is a white guy.

actually Chavis is a white guy too.

just stop it!

I was going to go on a long rant about racism, but I would rather do it in person.

A large % of racism is done behind a sheet or internet, so I don't want to join in from behind an internet post.

Alot of aggies with questions on their board. Some points they brought up.

No cancelled stamp.

Female handwriting

Female handwriting doesn't match envelope writing.

Stamp in wrong place(not in top right corner), like it had been stuck on after envelope was opened and placed below tear.

Said her kids could've opened and seen this but then she posted to twitter.

And some was trying to trace the bar code in this one.

Crazy stuff over there.

The more I look at it, it does bring questions. No doubt there are racist yahoos who'd do it, but just wonder about those.

There are definitely racist people out there. No denying that.

But this...doesn't seem right.

I say either he and his wife jotted this down to get some breathing room or use it as a leverage if he is fired, he can say he was under emotional stress or he was fearing for his life and that effected his job performance, he could possibly even sue the school for wrongful termination or secure his buy out etc.

Or it's an opposing fan base stiring the pot to get more heat on A&M. A Bammer/Updike type of thing.

But the lack of a postmark is a big question mark. And why would someone write a return address on this? Even the most dumb, ignorant moron knows you just wouldn't want to do that....and putting houston country club on there? So someone is smart enough to have the cash to be a member of a place like that, but stupid enough to incriminate themselves possibly by putting a return address on a hate letter? Hmmm. Fishy....

Kevin Sumlin is under a lot of pressure right now. Immense amounts of it. Even decent people do dumb things when their back is against the wall...

I have a serious question for some of you reading this that take sports way too seriously: what the hell is wrong with you? Were you beaten as a child? Do you have some personality flaw that prevents you from ever using logic and reason?

I know this applies to some that are reading this and I am legitimately interested in why you think this behavior is ok.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you. Are you saying that some folks reading this think that sending racist letters to a college coach is okay?

Yes. There are people that frequent VN.com that think that behavior is ok.

Edit: And not just racist behavior. Just ask Johnathan Crompton and Randy Sanders.

Looks like a fold right in the middle to me. But there is plenty weird about that whole thing.

Ag poster moved the two so he could measure. I marked out the word so we don't have to see that nonsense again. The red line is the fold.

Yea not understanding you Ron. I think everyone here has condemned it. Who do you think wrote it?

How would I know who wrote it? And not everyone reading volnation.com has posted in this thread. Obviously there are vol fans that think this type of behavior is ok. Just ask Crompton, Sanders, Butch Jones, Dave Clawson, or Arian Foster.

Wouldn't need to be mailed necessarily. drop it off in the mail box or front porch or whatever.

does seem fishy though.

I think the thing that is strange is why is she saying the kids could have opened it 1.) Kevin's name is on it 2.) why would you post it on the internet?

Female handwriting. Stamp not cancelled. One fold in the middle of the sheet indicating letter would not fit into that envelope. Tweet indicates she is afraid a child may open the letter yet she posts on twitter? All very suspicious...

Even if it is fake (may or may not be), that doesn't mean this behavior doesn't exist amongst fanbases. I just don't understand the thought process.

I don't know enough to try and play Nancy Drew with this photo to that degree. Same goes for the handwriting.

The things that raise questions for me:

1. No postmark on the stamp
2. The Intelligent Mail barcode is centered under the recipient address, which is typical if it's pre-printed on the envelope. If it were applied a the post office it would usually be off in the lower right corner.
3. The writer was so angry that he/she dropped the N-word, but couldn't muster anything more obscene than "suck" in the rest of the note.

If it is some how found out to be a fake letter created by Sumlin, his wife, staff or whoever then forget the Aggies on the field play...this should be INSTANT termination and a END to his coaching career!

Well, there was a minor incident during the LSU-BYU the sidelines reporter during the middle of the game starts doing an impersonation of Coach O about 10 feet behind him.. .this is during the game! At one point, she was like I hope he didn't hear me. I'm thinking, you idiot it's on TV. :) Coach O was asked about it this week and simply said he was proud to be a Cajun. I really didn't see anything wrong with it per se other than it was right behind his back during game play, and it was a little long in the tooth... it was tacky the way it was done and you are in a State with 200,000 Cajuns. lol

I wouldn't want that guy to put me in a headlock, she might want to watch it. lol

It might be grounds for just cause as well, not sure how his contract is worded. That would be a big ouch.

If this turns out to be a fake produced by the coach or his wife then I will be p!$$ed. I originally posted this upset at the fact that people take stuff too far. At the end of the day we're all human and deserve respect in failure as well as success. If this is a ploy then it makes them as bad as the individual that would have done this.
