Kevin Ware is now a....

Yeah, I agree. I covet a wing with no outside shot what so ever. We got a guy who could easily replace him. Back to you.

You ever see Dahntay Jones play?

8 seasons
2,193 fg attempts
191 3 pt attempts

1: 1 of 4
2: 23 of 60
3: 3 of 21
4: 5 of 12
5: 1 of 6
6: 11 of 17
7: 4 of 32
8: 14 of 39

Not saying Ware will be good because I really don't know. Just pointing out that Dahntay Jones is a shooting guard that has played pro basketball for 8 years without being able to shoot.

He'll get kicked out of Louisville b4 his career is over. Character was just as big of an issue for Cuonzo as his lack of certain skills. Had his character been better, Cuonzo would've tried harder to keep him because he is a great athlete, but in the end he wasn't sold that he'd work hard enough and/or stay out of trouble.

IMO he is much closer to Travis Leslie than Stanley Asumnu. Hat, please tell me what seperates Travis Leslie's game from Ware's? They both are inconsistent at best at shooting inside and outside the 3pt line. They both are top notch athletes who are at their best attacking the rim. They both have the ability to rebound with most F's(due to jumping ability). I just don't see a "Dear God" response in this scenario?

Maybe we just have varying opinions on his game and his talent level, but when I watch Ware play, I see a young Travis Leslie or a yound D-Wade. I highly doubt he will be the next D-Wade, but you never know which elite athletes will develop into elite ballers. I doubt anyone on here called D-Wade a potential top 5 NBA player(current) when he went to Marquette as a project, 3* athlete.

He has problems handling the ball---think of Hopson. No way this kid will be a point guard in college. I'm just as happy or happier with Richardson than I would have been with Ware.

Bump for Hat...

BVF, I wish I could agree with you. I look at Richardson and I see Tatum all over again and while he is a solid role player on the current and previous year's teams... That type of player should NEVER be the "stud" of the class. Especially when you consider the class is made up of 5 players, and not one is in the top 100... I'm generally an optimistic person, but this class is mind boggling. I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel unless we blow 2012 out of the water and get Goodwin, Poythress, and Stokes and either bring in a PG or watch Trae blow up... The future is almost as bleak as AU is currently IMO

Who in Pearl's first class was better than Richardson? Josh Tabb? Marques Johnson?

Who on the roster CCM inherited can be counted on like CJ Watson, Lofton, Jajuan, Wingate, or even Andre Patterson?

Totally different scenarios, but do NOT try to classify me as a Pearlophile. I respect Hat and that is why I bumped it. I truly WANT to hear what he says on the topic. The 2nd class will be the water mark for CCM, not this class. I don't complain about Richardson being a Vol, I complain about wasting scholly's on Washpun & Yummy Macaroni. It wreaks of having little faith in pulling in top prospects in the 2012 class IMO.

Travis Leslie has NBA level physical strength and improved from a guy who was merely a dunker to a guy worthy of an NBA look. Kevin Ware would struggle to beat a 12 year old girl in a bench press contest and is no better now than when he was 15.

How are the scholarships wasted? UT needed to fill a roster this season. If those guys can't play, you tell them so and help them find somewhere that they can.

Exactly. Going into the season with Hall and Maymon as your only legitimate post players is NOT and option.
