Keys to the Puerto Rico Tournament

This.

He didn't get many face up 15-18 looks, I think he's pretty dangerous in that area, kind of surprised me.

Really think Stokes will struggle early without his on the floor coach.
Add Kenny's reluctance to box out and spotty help defense.
Going to make it tough for Jarnell to dominate.

While I think Stokes needs touches, I still don't see him as being comfortable with his back to the basket. He looks better facing up and he really didn't do much of that in the first game.

Trae needs to to be Trae at the foul line. Its such an advantage late in ball games when our leader and primary ball handler shoots 80%+ at the stripe.

Not to steer this thread away but who did CCM start last game? Did McRea not start at the 2?

no McRae. Golden, McBee, Richardson, Hall, and Stokes. McRae and Chievous were the first 2 off the bench iirc.

We are gonna be a threat to anyone when maymon gets back.

Your name is like a getting a tattoo drunk...at the time you thought I was the best thing ever, then when you got sober you try like hell to get rid of it lol.

Until we get Maymon back, I think the key will be good shot selection on the offensive end. There won't be a lot of second chance points since our offensive rebounding is hurt so much by his absence. And I feel confident that given good looks, we won't need many second chance points.

On the defensive end, we need just need to make sure we box out and secure some more rebounds.

If we focus on those two things, we should meet NC State and at least be competitive with them.
