Keyton's dropped Touchdown yesterday.

That’s his third sure TD drop pass this year but that’sJoe Milton’s fault!
People don’t realize how **** like that makes a qb second guess where he’s going with the ball. Joe struggles when he’s feeling unsure and it’s in his footwork. When he’s confident in everything, the play, the receiver, the oline, etc his footwork is perfect and his accuracy is too. When he’s unsure of some of those things is when his footwork gets bad and he misses. The whole offense has to function as one anc do their jobs and everything will get better.

You didn't watch last year then. He is a very good receiver. For some reason he doesn't seem as aggressive or focused this year. Fighting for playing time has a way of cutting those mental mistakes out.
IMO one of the things that helped him get open last year, was that defenses had to game olan around Hyatt and/or Tillman. This typically meant Keyton got less attention and lesser athletes assigned to cover him.

This year Bru was out only serious threat and with him gone..🤷‍♂️

The kid receivers are going to have to step up. Give Keyton credit for his superb play last year and he replaced Tillman perfectly. Hyatt commanded a lot of attention and with McCoy and Squirrel it was a loaded rotation. Not to mention a phenomenal quarterback directing the show. Keyton remains a team asset and Josh will have to figure out how to bring more skill to the pass game. Maybe Castles, Dee, Webb, Sampson or others will factor in some new wrinkles. Keyton may be saving his spectacular performances for Bama and Georgia

You can not drop a Touchdown pass like that in that situation. I know they still won the game but you can't have a drop like that. Next week the receivers will have to make catches when they are that wide open.
That’s his second one like that this season. Last year he caught anything coming his way, this year so far he has hands of stone. I’m pulling for Ramel, hoping he has a breakout game this Saturday.

Just my speculation but, the WR’s may be surprised when the pass is on the money?

Seems to me that since we are keeping Joe as the starter, the WR’s need to practice to be ready for that one out of 8/9 passes that are actually on target.
?? So now it is Joe’s fault the WRs can’t catch a touch pass?

Man, we are blaming Joe for everything now, aren’t we?

Doggone it, Milton….why’d you cause this inflation to occur???

Just watching the replay now. Vols were lucky A&M got flagged for a personal foul on the same play and then they went on to score with the TD to Warren. Keyton was money last season and made some incredible catches filling in for Tillman. Hope these guys gain consistency as on the road you cannot overcome mistakes/drops like that. Younger receivers will get more opportunities and perhaps Holiday and Walker Merrill should have stuck it out. Recruiting Thornton may have run off better and more reliable receivers already on the squad.
I happened to think of Merrill and the Jimmies yesterday. Wonder if they might be producing had they stuck around.

This is a bs take, straight up. Do you blame others when you fail at your job ? Disgusting, Keyton and Thorton should be playing down a level

Any chance Keyton has some undisclosed health issues? He has been consistently good in the past years.
He has never been consistent. He made some nice catches last year but ....... It's not on Milton that he cant seem to catch wet sh1t tickets this year

O
You still can't drop passes like that in that situation. Keyton is only human. I think this will be a good learning experience for when he is so open next time.
Oh…100% agree with you on that. The drop was inexcusable. Don’t cost us points on that drive, but usually those type drops do cost us points. We just got lucky that drive that it didn’t cost us points.

And this has been going on since the first game. Drops from receivers, no separation and missed blocks. So things have just gotten worse every game because those things keep happening so more and more doubt grows in his head. In the orange bowl, Joe had great oline play with Darnell and Carvin still there and great receiver play so he balled out. The offense as a whole hasn’t performed to that standard since. Even look at the UGA game last year. UGA dline got to Hendon consistently and the receivers were getting jammed. And then when he did get time and his receivers got open, Hendon already had the doubt in his mind and he overthrew the ball because he was already unsettled mentally. QB’s play completely different when they have any doubt in the rest of their offense’s performance.

Yeah I just wrote about that. Something strange with that guy. That’s AT LEAST 2 uncharacteristic drops for easy TDs this year. He seems like he isn’t dialed in as he was super clutch last year.
And I know sometimes Joe puts the heat on a ball. But that one at least floated down as gently as a butterfly INTO HIS HANDS 😳

You make a lot of good points there. I agree with you completely.
