That’s funny, appreciate the chuckle.

My last memory of Iowa was a mediocre Tennessee team up 42-7 in the first half of the 2015 Gator bowl.

they've been good for one snoozer a year and we aren't good enough to win when we don't show up ready to play for 4 quarters against P5. thankfully this staff is good enough to survive playing G5 or lower schools while half asleep, an improvement over the last 5 or so coaches.

also have a tendency to fall asleep for a quarter. Lots of arguments about why we didn't show up, but it happens.

we have been pretty sharp in bowl games though. even with opt outs

based on what?

Its certainly not the stats. as pointed out previously all their offenses are trash, which makes their defenses look better, and we have beat better statistcal defenses than most of those.

if you want to go by rankings, we beat 2 teams, TAMU and Kentucky, who are better than the best of those, and our worst loss, Florida, would still have had a winning record against that second group.

last time we played you, northwestern, and nebraska we won. and it took a really bad call for us to lose to Purdue, so its not like history favors the Big 10 west guys either.

none of them do anything scheme wise that would challenge or us be unique to give them an edge. meanwhile we rock a pretty unique, and successful offense, and have SEC speed. you are going to find out why it just means more in the SEC.

Fong’s Pizza in Des Moines makes an incredible pie called The Iowan with bacon & corn.

It’s like a culinary before-and-after of the feed lot food chain. Seriously delicious.

And if you don’t know Iowa is a pork state by the smell, you didn’t get out of the car long enough to have an informed opinion.
