This is feeler is what's happening. Oregon leaked and said "if we hire this guy on Monday how will you react?" If it's a bad react they won't.

If true, what self respecting coach takes a job with these clowns? Wait, if they don't have to be self respecting that leaves Kelly and Kiffin still in the mix.

Lanning seems like a bargain bin hire for Oregon. Will probably recruit well for them but he's a mystery beyond that. As much as it makes sense, I have a hard time seeing Kelly as the #1 choice. He's about the same age Phil was when he got canned and hasn't done enough at UCLA to warrant a big contract.

Oregon & USC will be the juggernauts on the W.C. as we start seeing these NIL deals driving recruits. I'd think you'd want a guy like Kiffin or a young, energetic guy who is willing to grind away hrs on the road.

for anyone that doesn't know, Lanning spent time in Arizona. He is familiar. Just rack it up on the long list of kirby's dumb ass decisions and be done with it.

Im all for making Georgia weaker. But why is Lanning getting a job of this magnitude? This Georgia roster was like perfect storm. So many tip level recruits and the super senior stuff. I feel like Oregon is making the same mistake teams like us constantly did going to Saban tree when it was never the assistants what so ever. The success was 100% Saban. Oregon trying to race through the maybe it was Lanning and not Kirby Smart? 🤔 I doubt that. This fantastic season Lanning did great things but this seems underwhelming to me for what Oregon is.

I lived near PSU for 12 years, so you lived over near Providence Park right? I lived up in the West hills on College St. Had a nice view of Providence Park as well as the rest of the city.
