It's really sad there are people in this country so easily led and delusional. Like Ca_Vol said, what he's attempting to install is a socialist society.

You don't think the ivory tower sorts don't know that? That's the long term strategy he is referring to, to an extent.

The difference is, some people don't see it as a dirty word. It isn't really, it is just not what we were founded on and counter to conservative ideals.

First off, let me say that I am a Libertarian and not a particularly big fan of GW Bush either but you Obama folks are absolutely hilarious..... You all hold that Bush was a complete idiot who couldn't do anything right. Now we are saddled with a "president" who is demonstrably doing an even worse job living up to his oath of office and somehow, someway Obama the smartest man on the planet an anyone who opposes his policies is either a "racist" or just plain stupid. There's this little document we are supposed to adhere to when governing our nation called the Constitution (feel free to google it if you haven't heard of it....) and for the last several decades every president that has come into office has disregarded it whenever it got in the way of whatever pet policy they wanted to enact. I honestly don't believe that anyone who rises to be POTUS could possibly BE an idiot (OK there was Jimmy Carter.....) so much as they are misguided about what America's place in the world is. The Constitution clearly outlines these duties and if the POTUS isn't going to adhere ONLY to these powers (and quit making up powers not defined therein) then it's on us a citizens to make the neccesary moves. It's obviously a lot more complicated than I could break down in a football forum but I just wanted to get my two (or five or TEN...) cents in. Oh yeah.... One other thing. Kiffin is an A-hole.

obama is an idiot. The people who voted him into office despite no experience and a million red flags are idiots. But the biggest idiots are all the people who voted him in but have since turned on him. WHAT DID YOU EXPECT YOU MORONS?

This thread reminds me that, while I miss living in East Tennessee, I don't miss the rabid, often mindless and reactionary, right wing politics. It also doesn't matter if Obama ends the deficit, cures cancer and finds a way to make humans fly, that right wing (notice I didn't say radical, because I actually know what a radical is) faction decided in 2008 they will never be happy with him and never will......"but, but, but.....he's a socialist." I'm not sure most even knows what that means other than it's some kind of mantra allowing someone to safely hate Obama without thinking about it.

And don't even get me started on the McCarthyistic response to the ridiculous mosque deal.

No, please don't get started. You have already shown your total lack of comprehension and Nobama isn't a socialist, rather he is a Marxist. Understand the difference. But of course, being in Nash sort of explains some of the political fog you suffer.

GOD dont make this into a Obama bashing site... I forgot how right wing this fanbase is... lets just stick to football and not about issues you oviously have no clue about. bc if you did you would realize obama has had more to deal with in his first term in office than pretty most any other president. cough cough not to mention he is trying to clean up what 8 years of republican rule will do to the country...

Says the left wing nut job.

I posted this in another thread:

Obama to back religious freedom at Islam dinner

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

President Barack Obama on Friday will speak up for religious freedom at a dinner celebrating the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, emphasizing that point just as New York City is immersed in a deeply sensitive debate about whether a mosque should be built near ground zero.

Obama has not yet spoken about the mosque controversy. The White House has been calling the matter solely a local one.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs would not directly say whether Obama would address the mosque when he hosts the iftar dinner that breaks the holiday's daily fast. But Gibbs quickly added that Obama believes strongly in the tenet of religious freedom and would be speaking out on that.

The planned mosque's location near the site of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center has touched off a huge debate in New York.

Looks like Obama cares more about the Islams than he does Americans. It also looks like Obama just likes to hear himself talk, and spend money.

I'm sure Kiffin making that statement has absolutely nothing to do with the demographic of Obama voters and its direct relationship to the demographic of 5* recruits.

As for whether or not Obama is doing a good job, he gets an incomplete from me. Ask me in another 2 years.....we gave the last guy 8 full years to screw everything up.

Your honor, I would like to submit this as exhibit A for my previous argument.

Yeah, Obama is a Marxist. Please read a book before commenting and understand what real Marxism is before being another right wing mimic. It's, quite frankly, utterly amazing how the right wing just manipulates reality and all the lemmings fall in line without any sort of thinking.

And, if you think Nashville is some sort of liberal enclave, then you need to get out more. The rest of the world might blow your poor mind, though.

Um. You suggesting the right wing would be happy with arguably the most liberal president ever elected if not for some irrational hatred?

No, I'm saying that, around every election period, conservatives/Republicans manufacture some BS fear crusade of gay rights, terrorists, socialists, whatever, that are disgusting acts of pandering to the base instincts of mob rule designed to manipulate voters. This contrived controversy is no different and nothing more than a pathetic display of ignorance and demagoguery that the right is well known for doing each time they want to win an election. This, on top of the propaganda campaign of lies and misrepresentations launched against Obama the day he set foot in the Oval Office.

I think that about sums up my disgust and shame at many fellow Americans right now.

Yes. That is clearly a tactic only Republicans employ. Democrats would never employ such methods against each other during primaries.

And, notwithstanding I'm not a Democrat, what examples of the calibur Republicans are employed by the Democrats? Anything like referencing people as un-American traitors or terrorist sympathizers as well as the Muslim-baiting that regularly occurs?

Sorry, the Democrats are spineless, but the Republicans have denigrated into a party that identifies as the anti-everything entity of no ideas topped off by pandering to xenophobic fears like any classic demagogue group. Their policies suck and proven completely disreputable, so they have resorted to a deconstructive, rather than constructive, group.

If they ever return to a party of morals and principles, I might respect them, if disagree, but, right now, they are a pathetic disgrace along with their minions.

Typical bed-wetting lib. Do as I say, not as I do. You tell us to keep it on football, then go onto your liberal talking points about how wonderful Obama really is even though the country is falling apart.

Kiffin sucks, Obama blows, and you need a knuckle sandwhich.

Sure. It's not as if there's an effort to classify all Tea-Partiers and to an extent all fiscal conservatives as racists. It's not as if the leader of the Democratic party said that the Arizona authorities would lock you and your family up if you have a dark complexion and try to go out for ice cream.

You aren't a Democrat. Sure thing, Lawgator, Jr.

Such mindless political drivel from a leftist, an uninformed, full of hate liberal. The typical kind.
