Seriously, I wonder if the new staff just decided they didn't want him. There are arrogant programs who think they can just haul in some walk-on to fill the kicker and punter positions and save a scholarship or two that way. Bobby Bowden lost a few national championships (we got John Becksvoort because Bowden wouldn't give him a scholarship), and Steve Spurrier helped us win one, with that sort of thinking. Good job Kiff! :good!:

I just can't believe that this^ is what Kiffin was thinking. Remember guys he and O were all over Palardy like white on rice ponying up the full scholly to get him to come to TN. Can't think his recruiting philosophy has changed that much already. Now, do I think he's in over his head? Oh yeah, that's the ticket.

I think it will die down some after people get NSD out of their system. If LK has a bad class people will laugh. It will slow down until after the NCAA decides on the punishment (if any).

kind of the same way they didn't bother calling that QB from Texas who committed to Tennessee last year to tell him that he was no longer needed.

You have to remember, it's just classy coaches who actually call recruits to tell them that they're no longer being recruited, so they have time to go find a school that really wants them.

The last time the word "class" was associated with Lane Kiffin was probably when he was cutting them in high school and daddy had to talk him out of detention. :birgits_giggle:

He just visited UCLA on Saturday, and then he de-commits. Ouch. Don't tell me he didn't blow that one.

I think this is just an indication that Kiffin has something up his sleeve. There's no way he just forgot to call this kid considering he only had 14 commits when he took over as coach.
