I wonder if this may start to show whom Coach Kiffin really is? Imagine this scenario, before he was hired he spoke to Coach Jeff Tedford whom was one of his main mentors and colleagues at Fresno St. He then utilizes Tedford as a special person in his life, and before his first signing class is finished as a college head coach...he is told of his buddy Coach Kiffin in California. The question is....was he trying to lure Barkley away from his commitment to USC OR was he up the road at Mission Viejo trying to lure away Allan Bridgford from his UCAL commitment?

Is friendship in the way of recruiting or is this all business?

All is fair in love, war, and recruiting! A coach might get ticked off if one of his former proteges steals away a recruit but you better believe that he would do the same if he had the opportunity.

He told Bryce Brown to forget about playing with his brother. Come to UT.

i watched that kid play twice this year in wichita...holy cow that kid can absolutely fly. unreal. however, another great player in this area is a QB named Blake Bell. He plays for Bishop Carroll High School. He will be a four star senior next year. rest assured. and he would be a great fit at tennessee. But bryce brown is the best player i have ever seen play live in High School. Wow!

i'd much rather have bryce brown than giles

me too...seeing him live. the guy made a play where he went up the middle when the safeties were playing deep. when he hit the hole they started to collapse toward the middle. he split them untouched. I was like, "that is the most amazing speed i have ever seen on the football field" dude is sick. he is a lot bigger than you think. huge legs. he is a guy that will go pro after jr. year.
