From Wes Rucker:

Wes Rucker (wesrucker) on Twitter

Vols star Eric Berry said LKiffin "made a promise to us that we would never lose to (Georgia) anymore, ever, until he leaves."

Two things: I love that Kiffin has that kind of confidence and I love whipping up on the puppies.

Don't like that he said until he leaves. WTH!

If Kiffin ever leaves it better be for the NFL. The only college he could go to that I won't hate him for is USC if Pete Carrol were to retire or something.

Hopefully he stays here for good if he is successful though.

I just don't even like that he thinks about it, but I am sure he meant nothing by it.

And yes, he will be very successful here if he can beat UGA, UF and Bama. He has a chance to get 2 out of 3 in his first year.

Next one is going to be tough, but it can be done.

Seriously Kiffin?

You beat a Georgia team that certainly isn't as good as it us to be.

10 years is about the average stay of a coach in one job. They get a better offer, or get fired. Richt is in his 9th. :ermm:

Unless it's an NFL team, it will be hard to find a better school. Tennessee has the stadium, facilities and can match any offer.

For aslong as we have Monte Kiffin and UGA runs a prostyle offense then we will never lose to them...no chance Mark Richt and Bobo can out scheme us

I like Kiffin -- but does he need to make bulletin board material every week? Some times you just need to be quiet.

He supposedly said it to a player in private, not a statement to the media. You should take your own advice.

Knowing Kiffin, I was expecting it to be to the media.

He's executing the "bring attention to UT" plan well, but saying this kind of thing, even if to your own players, is pretty stupid.

Hand writing on the wall.

Richt cannot beat us with better talent.

He certainly will not be able to beat us with worse talent.

We will start getting who we want at least half the time from GA even though Garner spurned us. JaWuan James will be the start of something big.

Weird, half the thread disappeared. Betting its was the damn comment that did it.

Could have simply been edited, but whatever, I guess.

Still think Kiffin needs to be careful about what he says. Stirring the pot is fine.

Guaranteeing things isn't.

Unless by this statement he meant he's leaving at the end of the year, then it's probably correct.

I have figured out that he never will. So you either roll with it, or not. At the end of the day, he doesn't have a uniform on.

First you are believing 3rd hand information. Second guaranteeing to a player is different than the media. Third it could totally be out of context. Maybe he told Eric Berry that HE will never lose to Georgia again. That is probably true. Just don't see this as a reason to say Kiffin is running his mouth. He was VERY stoic after the win and didn't showboat, run his mouth, anything. Kiffin only deserves praise for this game(except special teams).

Wes Rucker is an idiot even posting this nonsense on twitter. If the man said it and I do mean IF, this was to psyche up his team. Not for some egotistical sports jounalist to post on Twitter. If true Rucker should be banned from attending postgame locker meetings.
