Yeah it's real stupid to say things to get your players fired up in the locker room and in private after a HUGE win...give me a break. What was he supposed to say, "We sure did play swell today. I promise that as long as I am here we will work like heck, and play UGA tough." I think some people just look for any excuse to get on Kiffin.

Could be. Also could be directed at Eric's younger brothers. I doubt he wanted this to go out to the media or he would have said it directly to the media. I doubt that Kiffin cares one way or another though. If he somehow beats Bama, I hope they extend him before he gets off the field.

For all the comments about Kiffin needs to watch what he says, I'm fairly certain he does. Everything he has said so far has had a reason or purpose. I'm not drinking kool-aid or wearing sunglasses. But the man put all the pressure on Florida to blow us out, and he fired up his team to DOMINATE Georgia. He has turned Tennessee into a center of attention again. You can say he's loose-lipped and needs to watch his mouth or whatever. Simply put, the man knows what he's doing.

I'm not sure Kiffin should be making promises like this (if he did in fact say it), but nevertheless, the comment on that page that said it should be an easy promise to keep as long as UGA has Martinez is spot on.

Beating UGA whether they are good or not is great for the Vol Nation. Beating any one of our big 3 rivals is great!
