"I think with the sophomores we've been able to get out there. And as you talk about the buzz going on, that goes all the way back to when we first got here and some things that happened in the media and some things I said and stuff," said Kiffin. "Well, you're seeing it pay off. We're seeing freshmen and sophomores calling us, calling us from 2,000 miles away saying, 'Hey, can I come on an unofficial visit? What's going on? We keep hearing all this stuff that's going on with the staff there, all the great players who just came. A top 10 class. The No. 1 player in America signing there, turning from Miami.' That helps you."

From VQ... here's is the 12 Kiffin is working hardest for 2011 in no particular order...

Jabriel Washington TN ATH
Eric MacLain NC TE
Kasen Williams WA WR
Shane Wynn OH RB
A.J. Johnson GA LB
Kenny Hilliard LA RB
C.J. Uzomah GA QB/ATH
Quan Bray GA RB
LaMichael Fanning GA DE
Steve Miller OH DE
Teddy Bridgewater FL QB
Bradley Sylve LA WR

From what I hear, Bridgewater can play just about anywhere. And why not Antonio Richardson? I guess part of that is because he was ineligible this year.

Kiffin will not only have to beat out the usual competition for a guy like Bridgewater, he'll also have to take on the Yankee's, Dodgers et al. This kid will have a multi million dollar baseball contract waiting for him should he decide to go that route.

Extraordinarily talented athlete. Watch his video.

I think we need to get off of this trip that we are on. The illusion that the only QB that can come to UT is a "Tom Brady" type passer. We need to settle for "Donovan McNabb/Steve Young type. Some one that can shake a tackle, and get positive yards. Not just someone that sits in the pocket and has to rely on his OL. You know our line isn't thegreatest right now.

Shane Wynn is an amazing athlete and competitor, even though he is like 5'5 or 5'6. He's another Glenville boy.

Bryce Brown.......Nukesse......Janzen Jackson

We only had a shot due to a new coach and the fact Miami wouldn't reoffer him a scholarship at the end. Plus the sign from God or w/e

Nukeese would have been overshadowed by the best WR prospect in the country coming in to take his spot. Plus he felt more "at home" here.

We only got Jackson because of his daddy.

Some people just won't come to UT. We aren't going to get everyone no matter how great our staff is. Bridgewater probably won't make it out of Florida, and it's really doubtful he even makes it out of Miami. I don't know enough about the rest of them really to make a decision, except maybe Kasen. Unless we get Heaps, chances are we don't get him either.

Wrong.

How do you know he wont feel at home here?
How do you know he isnt open to everyone?

Its crazy to say that we dont have a shot at anyone. You at least should have learned that from this staff already!

Uh, not wrong. DeBose is being called the next Percy Harvin. He would have been in the exact same position as Nuke except he's a better prospect.

And Bridgewater grew up a Miami fan. He lives in Miami. He goes to Northwestern, which sends basically every single player they have to Miami. A ton of his friends go to Miami.

If he leaves Miami, which would be about a miracle in itself, theres a 90% chance it's Florida or FSU. The other chance would probably be USC.

They called Nukesse the next Percy Harvin until he committed to us. So your arguing that one reason we got NR is because he was afraid of competition and didnt want to play with Debose? Thats laughable.

Being that it's Northwestern that makes it nearly impossible but you still have to be in the game. I seem to recall someone form there showing interest, maybe even visiting right around the time we picked up Morley, but ultimately following the rest of players to UM. Besides if Bridgewater turns out to be a top 10 recruit the mere mention of UT by him would be some good press for others in Dade.

Uh no. If you think Nuke is better than DeBose you're kidding yourself. DeBose does everything that Nuke does except he's better at it and bigger.

On Signing Day Debose was one of the players that Urban Meyer singled out for praise. Yes he has been compared to Percy Harvin. Yes he is incredibly gifted and possess some of the same skills, but he won't be expected to fill those big shoes by himself as a true freshman.

But I'd say thats a pretty important reason. Just like we probably won't get any top tier RB this year because they know we have other good players here who are young. Chances are slim to none that we pull in a Lattimore/Seastrunk type guy because of Bryce Brown.

I'm not saying he's a bad player or anything, it's just someone better came and took his job. That may not be the only reason, but it's a pretty big one.
