If you step back far enough from the dumpster fire....it is all kinda funny. Ok, maybe not ha ha funny....more, "it is so pitiful all you can do is laugh" kinda funny. Poor ole Derek...in over his head.

Once the game went into overtime, is there anyone who thought we would win? I never once thought we would. Back in the days of Phil, I at least thought we had a 50/50 chance in OT. That is the thing about Derek...you just know he isn't going to many close ones. I guess you could give the example of the vandy game last year...Gordon saved us on that one.

Perhaps Hart is smart to just let Dools hang himself. After we lose to candy next week, then there will be very few who think that derek deserves another year.

As hard as it is, you can't help but laugh sometimes. This has been a long time coming. False hope, claims of improvement, we are getting better. Deny, deny, deny and keep telling yourself it is ok. Everyday Dooley is the HC here, Hart and UT is destroying this once tradition rich program.

He won't make it til next week, not sure if the announcement will be tomorrow or Monday, but Hart's an idiot if he let's Dooley stay another week while Arky and Kentucky are already checking out and possibly talking to potential candidates.

Dooley going to be fired in the next week, yes. But come on, there's no reason UT can't turn the program around.

I have had a few laughs like this all season.

Gotta love your insight ...

Well the good in all of this is, Dooley will not be here next year...In fact he may not be here next week...If we can get that lucky...There is absolutely no excuses now for not firing him...Hart, Get on the phone and get us a coach....A great one..NOW!!!!!...Times a wastin!

We have said that exact same thing the last two Saturdays and it hasn't happened. At this point, I firmly believe that Hart is going to do exactly what he said he would do. Wait until the end of the season, then sit with Derek and review the big picture of the program.

The sad thing is alot of us knew this was inevitable the day Dooley's hiring was announced. I always hoped I was wrong, that there was something I was missing about his utterly horrible record, but every step along the way simply confirmed what we knew already. So at this point, 3 years later, the joke has gotten stale.

If Kensucky can go ahead and pull the trigger before the end of the season, why can't we? I'd be furious if Dooley makes it through the weekend...

I was afraid we were going to win and keep Dooley around. This and losing to Vandy next will take care of that.

It's so funny I think of what Dools said back at media days in Birmingham...quote " Well, you won't have TN to kick around anymore". Now that's funny...real funny right there. Real funny to think that we are 4-6 +2 more games to lose at this time in November. I'm sure the players will quite now & just go home. :whistling:

lol, If I wrote a script to destroy TN football the first step would be to hire Dooley and 2nd step hire Sal.

You're probably right, if we don't hear something by Monday then I don't think it will happen before the end of the season.

Can't support this coach anymore. Throw the check book at Tuberville and call it a day.
