Ahh nice, I don't know what the limitations on assistant coaches are.Not sure what his title will be but will not be grad assistant as he graduates with Masters next week. Coach V told him he would have a position and take care of him and that was good enough for him.
Sounds good to me! Straight from poppa. Looks like a good return on ALL he invested as a TEAM player! Happy for the Connell family! Not sure what his title will be but will not be grad assistant as he graduates with Masters next week. Went from old head to young buckThe entire coaching staff was gone last week and most of the week before so they are just telling him day by day over the phone what to do most days. They are all out recruiting and other things. All he knows is he will do whatever Tony (or probably anyone else) tells him to do.

Kirby has always done anything that needs doing. How could you NOT want a guy like that on staff? I hope this is the beginning of a long and illustrious coaching career for him and am really happy we get to keep him in Knoxville for a while. The entire coaching staff was gone last week and most of the week before so they are just telling him day by day over the phone what to do most days. Will not be disappointed if he gets an opportunity elsewhere in the future. Pruning. That’s what creates growth.Kirby has always done anything that needs doing. "You have not, because you ask not." and "You ask and do not receive because you ask amiss."
Nosey, nosey…
Just an observation based on experience. I personally felt you were out of line impinging on Pop’s inside line to information. It’s actually none’ya. Have a wonderful evening."You have not, because you ask not." and "You ask and do not receive because you ask amiss."
My motives are to give dad an opportunity to talk about his son ... if he wished to share. Great! If I was out of line (amiss) with my question, I was expecting him to ignore me.
Our children are our heritage, I know few people are unwilling to share the successes of their children ... when they can and when they feel it is appropriate.
@preacherman20 : I am absolutely thrilled for you and your son. It is a wonderful opportunity. Doing something love and getting paid for it ... is truly something special. Whatever role they end up giving him, "... all to the glory of God." Go Vols! Go Kirby!
