Piece of cake. His team will be ready to play, but I expect ours will be, too. While Alabama was a memory I'll never forget, it's hard to imagine a bigger regular season game than the one coming up for our program in a really long time. We just have to play all phases of the game like we did against Kentucky against an even better opponent.
For arguments sake, let's say Tillman returns and he's full-speed and strength. What's the starting lineup look like?
Hyatt has cemented his spot. Tillman is probably still our #1...maybe. Either way he def. starts too.
So the #3 spot, do you go w/Bru McCoy or Ramel Keyton? In the last 4 games they've had similar stats:
McCoy
16 Catches for 288 Yds, 18 Yds Avg. and 1 TD
Keyton
15 Catches for 243 yards, 16.2 Yds Avg and 2 TDs
McCoy had much better games against LSU and Florida (12 Catches for 142 Yards & TD) but less for Bama and UTM (4 catches for 44 yards). That last one against Bama was HUGE though.
Keyton is the opposite. Against LSU and Florida (4 catches for 88 yards) and more against Bama and UTM (10 for 153 yards & 2 TDs). Catches/yardage split evenly, but TDs were both against UTM.
I feel like Bru has the higher ceiling and more physical, but we get the physicality from Tillman too and Keyton brings a long athleticism/length/speed combo the others don't have.
I heard him, he actually sounded like he was begging them to make a lot of noise!Kirby Smart implores Georgia football fans to pack Sanford Stadium: ‘If you can talk when you leave, you didn’t yell enough’
He just may start hearing an unintended type of yelling by the 3rd and 4th qtrs. We'll see.
I think whoever loses the Tennessee-Georgia game will be going to the Sugar Bowl.I expect there will be a bunch of superlatives thrown at Tennessee, Heupel, and Hooker’s way this week. It’s a win-win for Kirby. If they win, they beat a great team. More importantly though is if they lose, they will be out of the SECCG and aside from win over Oregon, have a pretty lackluster resume for a 1 loss playoff bid. But if the one loss is to the best team Kirby has ever seen or coached against, maybe that helps the narrative. Just a thought….
This game is what it is because of us beating Bama (and everyone else). How many chances do you get to beat two top three teams in a single regular season. His team will be ready to play, but I expect ours will be, too.
