The report was that it would be good for both Bobby and Tennessee to find each other. They said that Bobby wants to leave because it is way to hard to recruit a player to go to Lubbock texas compared to Knoxville. They also said we would be an automatic contender in the SEC. then finally they said that he would have a better chance to win a national championship in Tennessee than Texas Tech.

Man I took a guess at it. I swear they were saying luvitt. But I'm not embarassing myself. Glad you changed it for me though. Thank you for the input.

Right. Well Back on topic, I have heard that We have contacted Bobby Knight about the job. Andy Katz says that he has two sources that say Tennessee hasn't contacted him. I guess we will find out later tonight when he is interviewed on ESPN.

Why would he or anyone else admit to anything at this point. His team is getting ready to play in the big dance. I would find it strange if he or his representatives came out and said that he was in talks with us about the job.

"Bobby Knight is going to be interviewing for the UT job this week and may not be able to attend their NCAA game. Details at 6:00"

this is huge news freak. cant attend the ncaa tournament.

i am starting to think that we may actually get knight.

this is getting exciting.

i had my fingers and toes crossed when i said i would give everyone 10 bucks. :D

Man the Sarcasim on this board is through the roof. Can you imagine a newbie reading this and sitting down at the T.V. waiting to see the interview.

That would be great if he just left Texas Tech hanging in tournament time to get a jump start on the Vols. Come on Bobby, we are waiting.......

My point was he is obviously NOT going to do anything while his team is playing in the tournament so to expect otherwise is absurd.

Man Freak don't mess with my head like that.

Now if Bobby Knight comes here (which he may or may not), we will have a good team next year. Bobby Knight is a great recruiter, and an even better basketball coach. He will get some JUCO players to come in and make an imediate impact. I think he sees that tennesee is one of the easiest places to recruit. If buzz was a good recruiter he could have got some great players in here. If Summit and Fulmer can recruit here, so can Knight.

I'm not as worried about our inside game as all of you are. I think Buzz did a real poor job getting players on the bench more playing time. Asumnu should have got alot more playing time than what he did. If he has talent, Knight would get him in.

If Knight comes, We will automaticly become on the top teir of the SEC. We will be fighting Kentucky for the sec east for the next four or five years. I am not worried about Knights temper and felt that is really what Buzz was lacking on the court. I don't think he could just get through our players heads that they needed to play defense ( something I can garuntee Knight will do).

Overall, if we get Knight, we will have the three best coaches in Mens basketball, wemons Baksketball, and football. That has to make Hamlington look good and thats why I think he will push for Knight to come.
