My understanding is that a big reason the gang problem has gotten so bad in Knoxville lately is due Mayor Rogero. Supposedly she won't allow the city police to patrol areas like they used to because she thought it was racist.

The 8 other specific people mentioned are all the people they put in harms way by entering the neighborhood and shooting indiscriminately in their vicinity, including the neighbor and her small children. They're trying to prosecute these men to the fullest extent of the law, and in doing so they are charging them with a count for everyone they put in danger that night, not just the one they killed. There have been ZERO found ties to anything gang related with any of these 9 people...ZERO. Hell, with just a few minutes of research, I've found out that all these boys loved football. It's their profile pics, their shares, their tweets...they're all about football...well, and Zae. It seems that one of them works at Hollister, which we all know that gangs these days are switching their clothing styles to all things beach and surfing inspired, no? Do you think that people associated with gangs are expert marksmen? Do you think they go to the gun range to practice up on their accuracy? When you see movies and such depicting gang behavior, you ever notice there's a number that hold their gun sideways? Do you know how horribly inaccurate it is to shoot a gun like that? These are randomly fired, indiscriminate bullets. It's a remarkably tragic twist of fate that Dobson's cousin was also shot an killed after a memorial for him by a stray bullet.
