The funniest thing I heard all day yesterday was when the announcer said "If you look up American Hero tomorrow, you'll find Abraham Lincoln . . . Taylor Hicks . . . . . and Joey Chestnutt!!!!!!"

I've got to say, I felt pretty lame watching the hot dog eating contest . . . but I just noticed that some of you conducted a game thread while the contest was going on. :lol:

That announcer was making some bad sport analogies during that contest, but I guess you have to do something to promote your sport.

That was the best part of it... the broadcasters keeping a straight face through the whole thing with their analysis of what was happening. :lol:

Just caught some highlights but have to say that the one of Kobayashi spewing was amusing..

It is amazing how quickly people can excel at a sport such as competitive eating. Did any one else hear that in 1992, the first year they held the event, the winner only ate 13 hot dogs???

What did they keep calling it? It wasn't regurgitating, they had a name for it.
